Hi all from Singapore,
I'm a somewhat active thong wearer (about 3-5 years already) and I'm glad that there's a place for me to read about tips and experiences from others who wear the same. Though, I personally don't like to wear it for any kind of flashing, I do find them very comfortable and, at least to me, flattering. You see, I only stand about 5'4 and a bit on the chubby, hairless, and unmuscular side. Not only that, though I'm not sure, I might be suffering from a form of microphallus (or microp*nis) since I only grow to about 2-3cm so at resting, it's really small, balls, member, and all... Wearing thongs made it nice to view myself since the fabric really gives it some sort of shape that it otherwise would not have had. Since I was very young, I only wore colored low-rise bikini briefs or slips as my parents did all the shopping (and these were in response to the heat in our country) and these tend to make me look flatter even more since they were quite tight. I found a few thongs online from Aliexpress China and tried them on and as fit as it could for my size (XL-XXL, close to plus size I think) like a few colorful iKingsky, and though there's quite a ruffled tent in front, it gave me some shape and I guess I appreciated myself more when I look at myself in the mirror. Lately, I got rid of a majority of my bikini briefs and wore more thongs. While I have yet to have the confidence to wear any kind of thong swimwear, I have only strictly been wearing racing Speedo briefs since when I was younger I did some water polo training and I guess it stuck. Nowadays, I've since gained even more weight and am quite sedentary with an office job and mostly only meeting with friends who play DND in hobby shops. So, I don't know what a girl I would meet one day would say if she knew I was wearing thongs but as I've read here, a lot of people have very supportive partners (I guess people are more open about it?). I'm very heterosexual and would like to meet someone but there's also a stigma in my country about wearing thongs and it being "gay" more so for someone wearing colored briefs at my shape and size, let alone thongs. I never thought it was "gay" in any way but you know how society can be. I wore it for comfort, support, and, I guess to appreciate my unique figure a bit more.
That's it, thanks to those here hope my story isn't weird or anything.
P.S. Any brand recommendations for string thongs? I like those with a flatter or seamless front since realistically I cannot wear enhancing thongs or torpedo like thongs. I dont like the ones with a thick waistband since it folds easily under some of my love handles, I wear string thongs and I'd like ones with a triangle back so kind of like a G-string or string thong?
Thongs I normally wear:
Covermale CM103 (XL)
iKingsky Y-back thong (XXL)
Joe Snyder JS03 polyester (XL) - doesnt fit me anymore, I wish they had XXL or XXXL

Welcome to the forum. I’m sure you’ll get lots of good advice from the members about thong brands they recommend, but don’t be so harsh on yourself for not having the “perfect” body.We are all unique and have insecurities about how we look especially in our underwear and swimwear, but everybody has the right to wear whatever they want. There is truth in the saying “every body is a speedo body” and the same should go for our underwear.

I’d agree with TT that you don’t need to be harsh with yourself . Also , although many of us wear thongs and in public locker rooms and quite small bikinis to pools , I think the vast majority on this forum know to act correctly , so you are in the right place to talk about your feelings .
Regarding fitness , none of us are perfect , far from it ! But as an official thong wearer it may give you incentive to become a little leaner and fitter . After all it’s a win win situation . You like the look of a thong on you and it makes you feel good . So this may encourage you to exercise and eat well and go in the right direction building your confidence . Desk jobs are a bit of an enemy aren’t they ! As you gradually start to look better in your thongs you will find it easier and easier to start feeling better about yourself . You will be healthier and more energised . Lots of guys , older than you , just stop trying . But I think thong wear helps us keep motivated and active in all it’s positive senses . Above all have a great time here and we look forward to hearing more from you .

reoDID, welcome to the community. I agree with everything said so far. I’ve been an exclusive thong wearer for many years. The freedom and comfort of a thong is why I never went back to anything with more coverage. The key to most anything is finding your confidence, comfort and self acceptance. Many of us have desk jobs, myself included. As a result I do everything I can to be active, be in the gym, cycle, hike, and swim. By no means is my body perfect but I have found my comfort with myself. As far as others opinion, I’ve found your confidence will aid in a positive reaction. Just be true to you and others will notice and appreciate.

How do you feel comfortable bicycling in a thong? I have to wear boxers or pants with contoured front. Few times doing short rides with bicycle having thongs (and outer layer of clothing) caused very uncomfortable abrasions. Everywhere else thongs are 100% in use.Guitar T wrote: Thu Feb 22, 2024 9:15 am reoDID, welcome to the community. I agree with everything said so far. Re: New to a thong forum
Thanks friends, happy this community is very much alive and supportive. Im having a blast reading on care and hygiene techniques. I've always been erring to the side of black, blues and red and have tried some neon colors. In the past, it really was just blacks and blues and red for the bikini briefs for fat old me. I tried others to be adventurous since I can now buy my own clothes. Wearing them in the office can sometimes be difficult since im seated at all times and not all thongs fit the same way. Again, if anyone has some recommendations for string thongs, basic modal and g-strings I'd love to get my hands on some of them. Asian sizes as well as Joe Snyder never really cut it for me.

Yep you can say the racing brief i normally (and only) wear to the beach and pool is like a bikini, really skinny sides. Im gonna try going back to the pool to get some fitness in my schedule but maybe its metabolism but when I was 11 or 12 and I first got into waterpolo lessons, I only gained more weight and was mostly a sub on the team. Still, any fitness is fitness and it was progress. If waterpolo wasnt so popular, more nasty comments come my way for wearing racing briefs to the pool, luckily people dont care as much nowadays and even in Santosa people are good with men wearing speedos, just not sure about thongs haha. Thanks for the motivation friend, I'll head to the pool this weekend.
Re: New to a thong forum
Thank you for this, though since nobody knows I'm wearing thongs. I shudder to think what misinformed and narrowminded people would say. Putting on my first thong gave me cold feet, but I'm basically wearing thong underwear almost exclusively. Maybe 6 or 7 times a week, to sleep at times.TANGA TANGA wrote: Thu Feb 22, 2024 5:37 am Welcome to the forum. Hi Reo , oh sure metabolism varies between people and plays a great part . If you want to be leaner and fitter of course all aspects of lifestyle can be looked at . So doing some research into healthy enjoyable eating with balanced food combined with keeping on the move will get you moving in the right direction and once you get the momentum going I’m sure you will feel better . I really hope you do well and the Incentive can be to look good in your thong . And it’s great for your health . Best wishes
Re: New to a thong forum
Ill keep trying! Thank you! I gotta admit I am curious about how people can swim with a thong, and I might give it a try in a really private place. Thongs really do give me that freedom you mentioned and in a hot and humid place like Singapore, I'm surprised more people arent wearing them. I sweat A LOT everywhere, and it doesnt help that I'm heftier but thongs are very airy and even sweat wicking, easy to dry for some variants of fabrics. And yeah, for me the lesser the coverage and the more flexible the material, the more freedom i think i have. I wouldnt go as far as wearing teadrop shapes or meshes though.Guitar T wrote: Thu Feb 22, 2024 9:15 am reoDID, welcome to the community. I agree with everything said so far.
