Finally did it! First time wearing speedos publicly

Hello!

I just came back from a trip to Miami and took the opportunity to wear my speedos at the beach and pool in public for the first time. I haven't enjoyed the beach this much in my life.

Here are two photos (a sneak preview) of my experiences there. I will share more once I back home.

Congrats and good for you!! You've taken that great first step! Your swimwear choices look really good and look good on you! How did it feel wearing them for the first time? I hope you felt comfortable in them and hopefully you'll be wearing them more often!

I must say it was a bit of excitement and fear since it was the first time for me. But that phase was short-lived. No longer after I felt much more comfortable and free to wear them. Before that, I wore some shorts that reached mid-thigh which were not bad but they don't compare to speedos.

I do hope to wear them more often once it gets warm in Houston, but it might be more limited to smaller private pool parties for now.

That's awesome! Good for you, man! You are right when you say that mid-thigh shorts don't compare to Speedos...once you get totally comfortable in Speedos you really won't want to wear anything else. It'll definitely get warm enough in Houston to wear them, and starting with small pool parties then is a great way to start!

So true about not wanting to wear anything else after wearing speedos. I'm still weary about getting unwanted attention and comments so I will be a bit more discreet for now. I will look for opportunities where I can wear them without any worries.

I'm personally of the philosophy that both men and women should wear any tasteful swimsuits at the beach or pool if they feel comfortable regardless of body type. That is I shouldn't make any bad comments or make fun of them.

There was a fat older man at the beach in a thong and no one, including myself, cared about it. I wouldn't do it either at a fat woman wearing a thong.

Congrats! Never worry about other opinions. You do you and what makes you happy. Everyone needs to live by those rules.

I'd probably also be that fat older man at the beach in a thong, too, but I'm totally comfortable with that and don't worry about what others may think.

I agree wholeheartedly with your philosophy about people wearing tasteful swimsuits that they are comfortable in...it shouldn't be our place to make bad comments about them just because we might not like them.

Eventually you'll get to the point that you don't need to be wary of what others may think or say about you in a soeedo...just keep wearing them and building your confidence, too!

That is a great first step. I hope you make many more steps as you become increasingly comfortable. Be proud and confident, it will only attract positive attention.

I actually did try on a pair of thongs just out of curiosity on my last day. Let's just say I thought they were fine, but I still prefer to have more coverage in the back. It would be something I would wear occasionally. My favorite pair was the blue tiki bikini that I showed in the first photo.
