C-in2 Scrimmage Thong

Post by Mrthong »

My first review and hopefully more to follow for all the thongs I have. The very first thong I purchased was the C-in2 Scrimmage thong. I have been wearing thongs for less than a year, but now have quite a few pairs in a range of styles and fabrics.

Compared to other thongs, this one has a somewhat thick and coarse strap connecting the front to back. Aside from that, everything else about this thong is fantastic. The pouch is supportive, but stretches quite a bit and I love the mesh fabric. It breathes very well and keeps everything cool (which was my main reason for buying). The waist band is broad, which means there is a lower risk of whale tail showing. The fabric around the edges of the pouch stays put well, so there is never an issue with it feeling loose or having some of the "goods" slipping out.

I am a 33 waist and around 200 lbs and purchased the medium first, then a large a few months later. The medium fits well, but the center strap can cause a little irritation between the cheeks if I am very active throughout the day. The large is more comfortable but the pouch is a little bigger too, still very supportive.

I have purchased a ton of C-in2 products over the past year and have been very impressed with the quality of every piece.

Thank you for the review. I went on a C-in2 buying spree last year and bought one of every style, except the Scrimmage and H+A+R+D. I thought the waist band on those two were to wide and not really my style. But after reading your review, I'll have to pick up a Scrimmage on their next sale. Even though many are cotton, I love the fit and retro style of my C-In2 thongs. The only C-IN2 that I was disappointed in was the "Hand me Down" thong, the fit and pouch seemed smaller than the others and sat lower on my hips that I prefer.

But I would suggest to anyone looking to try a good basic thong (with several styles choices to pick from) look at C-IN2. I do wish they would make one without a waist band, but their look is with a waistband. Their Nu style is probably their thinnest band.

I just ordered 2 more thongs from C-in2 a couple days ago and what a coincidence, one of them is the "Hand me down". How does the pouch size compare to the core thong? I have a core in the y-back and i love it, but the pouch doesn't quite cover cover the sides of the "boys" haha.

Keep in mind the site says the Hand me Down sits below the natural waist - and for me the tail was short if I wanted to wear it a little higher. The pouch did not give as much as the Core does. I did like the mesh of the Zen, the softness of the minimal, the skimpyness of the Nu and the retro look of the Throwback. I have also not tried their Prime line.

Hopefully the pouch isn't an issue. The core and hand me down fabric seems very similar, and the pouch on the core low rise briefs is on the small side, but I was hoping that since the thongs are single ply pouches, they might have more give. I wish they offered more products with single ply pouches rather than 2 ply.

Which thong style do you think had the stretchiest pouch?

I might get this mixed up, the Minimal had a good pouch. The Nu pouch provided plenty of room. The Throwback had the biggest pouch. I'm doing this from memory so please forgive me if I get that backwards. I can try them on later tonight and update.

I have the minimal, but it was really small on me. I am right between a medium and large in their sizing. So, ordering and fit I sort of have to guess if they will be stretchy.
I really want to like the minimal, but the bottom strap is too tight. I figured I should just order a large. However this last order I went with a medium mesh thong since I have one in a large and thought there was enough to give to go down a size. Maybe it is lifes way of telling me i should lose 15 lbs to get back down to a 31 waist

I'm a 34" waist, 205lbs, 5'7". I wear large from most brands and the C-in2 waist and pouches have not been a big issue for me, I'm not a "overly blessed" so that might play into that factor. Some brands it does get tricky the way they do in-between sizes; like the pouch gets smaller or the strap gets longer - it can be nerve racking.

Not to mention all of the different styles and materials within a single company. What other brands do you have? I have been looking at ergo wear, jack adams, obviously apparel and a few others. But I have been so happy with C-in2, I wanted to go through their styles first.
