String sides, clip, ring sides.

Post by RespectTheKini »

I had a light sky blue pair ages ago, it had stringy sides, the kind that go in a bow and dangle down. I think theyre super sexy but kind of high maintenance. Probably best for photoshoots.

Ring side are definitely the best looking out the bunch I think, makes you feel masculine and beach-y. Maybe a luxury tinge to your aura. Oh man, but are they uncomfortable for anything but posing too! Haha. Reason I never pulled the trigger on a ring-back thong.

Clip side, I have a Fagioni thong in a beautiful and velvet-esque super smooth lavender . . . those clips dig in though. Good for show and tell.

Who's got some of these? Anyone wanna change my mind? Haha. Fashion over form applies to anything and thats alright!

I have Kiniki Tangas and thongs which have plastic clips on one side or both. The problem with them was when you took them off after any length of time it looked like you'd been branded due to the marks they left on your skin. I've got one that remains unopened and was probably bought sometime in the last century(lol). I also had a very skimpy bikini that I think I got from Bodyaware. Both sides had velcro strips that joined at the hip. Never really felt confident that they would stay connected, but they did. I've noticed guys on IG wearing tie sided bikinis and thongs, but I hate to see the straps hanging down on both sides, which for me, spoils the whole look of the garment.

I sincerely appreciate the differences we have. I love seeing and wearing tie side thongs with long strings hanging down the leg. I think it is extremely sexy. I own a few thongs exactly like this. When I see women (and photos of men) wearing thongs with long tie side string I’m instantly appreciative.

I get what you mean with the side clips, I’ve got some conquistador brief from Gregg Homme that are a bit on the small side and the buttons dig in something shocking https://gregghomme.com/int_en/160003-co ... =5&size=85
They look great but are pretty hurty.

Each to their own. I can see why some people find the tie sides sexy(easy to loosen)lol. I bought a red swim thong(which was more like a g-string) from Kiniki back in the 80's which tied on the one side and I didn't like it. Part of the reason was because I had to keep tying it to stop it slipping and I just didn't like having a large knot on my hip.

I have a couple of strings from Wojoer Cat No 321b55 which have clips at either side of the pouch which don’t dig in at all, great for unclipping when tanning.
I also purchased a few super thongs last year from Beachkini in Germany WWWboy-strings.com they have the clip on the very edge of the pouch , unfortunately they no longer have the clip and there has been a huge price hike! I think clips can be purchased as a special order.
I personally don’t care much for tie sided thongs for the beach or swimming as they always need re adjusting.

For my tie side thongs I put a loop knot in and never have to adjust, re-tie, or worry about. Instead of having a bow or big knot I have a small knot with strings that cascade down each leg. The look catches attention and I’ve had many compliments when wearing these thongs. These are not things I wear on a regular basis. They are pretty much for special occasion, gatherings and when with special people.

As for hip clips, I have a few N2N Fire Island thing that have a clip on one hip. It’s an interesting idea but noting spectacular in my opinion. The clip is chunky and secure.

I never owned tie-side or tearaway underwear, though I owned a couple of Kiniki pieces that had rings...I think it was called "Ringo." :D I wasn't much of a fan of them, if I'm honest...I have a couple pairs of the Yutana (I think?) that have like little plastic rings...I don't wear them often, but not because of the rings. They're ok...just not my first choice.

I have a some of each. I have a Cover male chords brazilian bikini and some body huggers from swic that have the tie sides . I like the look of them and they are comfortable, but the ties can be a little trouble some either the ties loosening up or sometimes the ties pop out the side of my pants. The ring bikinis i have are the Bodyaware Eminence tanga and the ES collection shiny rib bikini. The Eminence tanga is one of my favorite bikinis. They have smaller plastic rings that add some detail . Its more of a string bikini style. The Es shiny rib is more of a standard bikini with bigger square ring on the sides. They are a great looking bikinis but with a little snugger fit it can be a little uncomfortable after time . The clip style I have are from Joe snyder I have the maxibulge clip bikini and the clip bikini. The both have a skimpier back but the the maxibulge has some add pouch enhancement, 2 clips and a ruched back. I try to size up for more comfort though the clips do leave a mark.
