I love this forum

A place to talk about underwear in general that doesn't fit in thongs or bikinis.

Thonglover8K, if you are already a Flickr member and have a homepage, send me a PM with the link to your homepage; I'll bring it up and send you an invitation to join the group. If any other Forum members are already on Flickr as well, do the same! If you plan to join Flickr, put the word Bikini in the search box and click on the white magnifying glass. This will bring up the next page where you can click on the word Groups. This will bring up ALL the bikini groups (you'll feel like a kid in a candy store!!!), and you will see my group. Click Join and mingle with the "Nearly-Nude!" :D

Just got "under the hood" and found an even better word to use in the searchbox: HOT (use all capital letters). But then, isn't that the word for guys "in the know" about what is best to wear?!? :P

Is this forum American?

It's all bikini this, thong that. :ugeek:

Think I may have joined the wrong place.

Problem is there are hardly any underwear discussion boards.

Welcome to the forum(even though it appears you've made a mistake)lol. The forum is based in America but has contributors and followers from all parts of the world. It clearly states in the main heading of the forum and the main blog that they are aimed at bikini and thong wearing guys, so I can only assume you didn't read those bits. Having said that, you don't have to be a thong or bikini wearer to enjoy the contents, and you will find posts that review more conservative swimwear, male grooming tips and many other topics. There is no charge to join the forum so you won't be out of pocket if you decide to leave.

Welcome to the forum retro68. Yes, you won't find any talk about boxers, boxer briefs, boardshorts, etc., on this forum, other than to ridicule them and lament that men are shamed into wearing these boring styles. My advice, stick around and read the topics here. Who knows, like microbikiniman said you might try some bikinis and thongs yourself and see the light.

Yep, essentially I landed in the wrong place  I'm British, very conventional and proud of it (wouldn't be seen drad wearing bikinis). I'm a man. But each to their own. Take care everyone, out.

Hmmm, I'm slightly confused, I too am originally British, I'm also Australia, I'm conservative in how I dress, but I have the most amazing collection of G strings, thongs and what I'd call bikinis, they are bikini briefs, but definitely underwear. Personally, I like to wear thongs and bikinis, the smaller the better, I'm not sure why you wouldn't be seen dead in a bikini on a beach, I wore Hom bikini swim briefs in the 80's in Cornwall, it was a common thing back then, obviously not now. Anyway, as you say each to their own.

When retro68 said he "wouldn't be seen dead wearing bikinis," I wondered if he actually thought we were talking about the female two piece swimsuits rather than string bikini briefs/speedos. I also felt him stating "I'm a man, but each to their own" was implying that those of us who choose to wear skimpier styles are somehow less manly. He was obviously looking for a site to discuss underwear, but how dull would that be if the only thing up for discussion was boxers and dork shorts? I've been in two minds about deleting his post seeing as he's no longer an active member, but by leaving it up I think it will act as a reminder of what we're up against and the bikiniphobia that is out there. Let me know your thoughts on keeping or removing his comments.

I too agree it’s a good reminder as to what we are up against with preconceived notions against our skimpier styles we all love. These thoughts are what I would imagine my friends being like if they found out my love for thongs, bikinis and swim briefs. But you guys are helping me realize that I can’t live out of fear, let them dictate my choices, etc. So I do actually love this forum and am a proud thonger!
