Thongs or Things

This is meant as a lighthearted post, but it's something that I've noticed more and more and has me wondering why it keeps happening especially on this forum. Why does the word thong(s) often become thing(s) in a written paragraph? Should we blame predictive text or auto correction, or is it because the letters i and o are next to each other on the keyboard and our clumsy fingers hit the wrong one? Could it be that Governments around the world are worried that men in thongs will become the dominant force sending the boring boxer shorts market into oblivium, and as a result, have instructed all software companies to automatically change thong to thing? I'm not being paranoid, but the word thong in that last sentence has a jagged line underneath which usually highlights an error. WE'RE DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED!!!

Haha, great post TANGA TANGA. I see this misspelling all the time and it's happened to me before. It's usually the autocorrect function on my phone. I'm not a conspiracy theorist but I think you might be onto something here . Could be a collusion between governments and the clothing companies. Or maybe right wingers in government worried about men wearing skimpy styles they deem un masculine? Interesting!

Ha Ha funny, yes, I've noticed this too, although I just put it down to the I and the O being next to each other on the keyboard and my fat fingers of course. Clearly, I've been so naive, now that you mention it its obviously a conspiracy from the Dork short brigade to rid the world of awesome, sexy micro undies that we all love.
