Just got back from an MSC cruise with my wife that left out of New York. As a European cruise line, I was curious if there's be a more 'european' attitude towards men's bikinis and I'd have to say there was.
Between the hot tubs, pools, co-ed spa and private island I must have seen a dozen guys in some manner of swim bikini without any issues.
For myself, I wore my Speedo 1"s in the co-ed Spa frequently, and my Sporti Euros at the main pool, and had a great time, with my wife's encouragement.
At one point my wife and I were in the 'cold room' in the spa, me in my Speedo, and a young man came in and sat down across from us in a small bikini. I'd seen him in the spa a few minutes earlier in the company of a beautiful young women in a one-piece, but sadly she didn't join him in the cold room.
When he got up, I turned to my wife. "I should have said something, right?"
"No, you shouldn't have." she said!
Looking forward to a good summer.

Always wanted to do a cruise so. I could enjoy wearing swim bikinis somewhere other than working out at the pool, where did it leave from?

I have completed a number of cruises over the years, unfortunately not this year. This coming winter I’ll be in a cruise ship in the southern Caribbean again. I’ve never had a problem wearing a cheeky bikini style suit or a thong. My last few cruises the only swimwear I wore were thongs. For my next cruise all I plan to bring for swimwear will be thongs. I’ve seen a number of women wearing thong bikini and a very few men wearing Speedo cut suits. I’ve left from Miami, Ft Lauderdale, Tampa and New Orleans and only ever had positive experiences.
