Airport Security Redux
Hi all -- had a hilarious situation at LAX yesterday. I was going through the full-body scanner (and LAX was BUSY) and the TSA agent kind of gave me this sheepish look when they asked me to step out. They indicated on the "body map" readout where the machine was suspicious -- a yellow and red box placed RIGHT ON TOP of the crotch area. The TSA guy said, "sir, I'm going to have to check you with a patdown right over those area." I was like -- go for it. Of course, I wasn't carrying explosives or firearms in that area, and I told the guy ... "I'm sure some might have called that a dangerous weapon but it happens less often these days." He laughed. I was wearing jeans, and under them I had on a gray Ergowear SLK string bikini. I have no idea why that particular area might have generated concern, but I'll have to remember that the next time I travel...maybe the Ergowear fabric has something that resonated with the scanner? Who knows? I know they're comfortable to travel in...

Re: Airport Security Redux
Considering how my mind "works,"
this sounds like a great idea for one of those
scenes in a 007 movie where James Bond is "helped" by a shapely female security guard wearing a string bikini (HOT
day on a tropical island) who notes a "slight stiffness" on the security scan. (Oh, Lawdy
)

Just checked those out.
Those look so sexy that I would wear.

As Mae West said in a movie, "Is that a gun in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?"

Re: Airport Security Redux
Believe me, the whole thing felt like a prank especially given my history at security checkpoints which I've posted elsewhere.
The first thing I thought of was what I mentioned in another thread with wearing underwear with metal rings on each side, and my recent trip to Portugal. At least the TSA guy didn't stick his hands right down my pants and rummage around like they've done in Portugal, Germany, and elsewhere.

And yes, I really like the Ergowear SLK. Pretty minimal but also really good in basically all conditions and situations (even during patdowns!)
