Anybody Workout in Swimwear?

Post by tony_sucks »

As the title says. Also, does anybody just use swimwear as underwear? They are comfortable; however, they are more delicate when it comes to washing them IMO, so I avoid wearing them as workout underwear or just as underwear in general. I really like how some of my speedos look on me, and some of them make me feel really manly, so I have been debating whether I should just wear them as underwear, specifically at the gym. Of course the common answer will be "wear whatever makes you feel comfortable", which is true. So avoid this as an answer

I don't workout in the pairs I consider swimwear, but I know some that do. Some just wear that, since they workout at home. If at the beach then it would be a great choice. Many of them do offer great support, so would be a good option to workout in. In college one of my soccer teammates opted for a swim brief under his uniform on game days. Now I do have pairs that are advertised as swimwear that I wear as underwear, but they are unlined and light enough to be worn as underwear. My personal preference is to wear a lined swimsuit at the beach over unlined. I have many pairs that have similar content as swim briefs, but a lighter fabric that I go for if doing something active.

I've noticed that lots of Australian rugby players wear speedos/budgy smugglers under their shorts when they are playing. Not totally sure why, but I think it could be due to the fact that their shorts often get pulled down and ripped during a game, and tight speedos probably help to retain their modesty, unlike regular underpants, which are more likely to get trashed and leave them bare assed and red faced.
I've never worked out wearing swimwear, but I have played tennis wearing a string bikini which was very liberating! Won't tell you where I kept the spare ball when serving(lol).

I love to run on the beach first thing in the morning. It's nice to wear a bikini then. Feels very free.

I usually run before swimming so I wear my swim bikinis under shorts, sometimes I'll close out a lift session with a swim or a jujitsu class with a swim so I'll wear em underneath in those cases as well, works out pretty well, you can slip on a cup over em, forget they're even there

I often do weights at home in a bikini or thong . Swimwear is an Incentive for me to keep working out which I don’t really enjoy . We have a couple of semi naturist beaches here and in summer I’ll jog in just the smallest of thongs , it’s a very liberating experience . Joe Snyder rio or a skinzwear m73 with StuffIt pouch being examples .

Seems a bit strange to me. Probably the closest thing to it that I would do is if I swam and had a pool.
