Question about swim brief

Post by bruce147 »

I recently purchased my first 2 swim briefs. One is an Aussiebum Club Original. I do like it quite a bit. It is rather loose in the front but I think it fits as intended. Following the Aussie, I wanted to purchase a proper swim brief that is less of a fashion brief and I went with a Nike. Others at Reddit have said the fit is good. Maybe I am not used to swim briefs but it is very tight. My issue is I have a little package.... it actually varies quite a bit but the bottom end is extreme. The tightness really flattens me out. It looks lost in a suit with higher sides and don't want to resemble a little boy. So, I am wondering if there are brand or styles that are looser in front but not too loose or if there are brands with little pouches... not too big. Thank you.

Your Nike looks like the right size, and very nice! Keep in mind, most tight suits "break in" and fit better after you wear them a few times. If you buy suits made in China, Japan or Korea, you usually have to go up two sizes or so, Asian people are smaller.

Competition style swim briefs, like your Nike, are designed to fit very tight and there is usually not much room in the front. This is to reduce drag while moving through the water. The tightness often catches you by surprise if you're not used to wearing them. As Bikenswim said they will break in after a few swims and feel better. Yours looks great! And don't worry about your size. You don't look like a "little boy" to me. If you want a suit that has a little more room in the pouch try briefs with a front seam design. The Speedo Solar is a good option with a front seam.

Thank you so much. Glad you think it fits correctly and the breaking in should help. Never thought of that. I wonder what would happen if I went up a size and I'm not a competitive swimmer. It is more about the look. I'll remember that about the imports.

Thank you. I had considered a Solar but wasn't sure and didn't realize the front seam models have a bit more room. That is an idea and I like shorter sides. The suits with extra coverage cause me to look a little lost in them up front. Btw, not sure how representative the photos are and... I shrink quite a bit more, but that's ok. It is all about self acceptance and rockin' it. Thanks again for the insight.

Welcome to the forum, Bruce. You're not the first and won't be the last guy who has concerns about how his manhood looks in a revealing speedo/bikini. It has to be said that even guys who are blessed in that department can appear smaller if they are squished up in a pouch with no give whatsoever. I felt that way with some of Kiniki's swim Tangas. They looked amazing with their string sides and half backs, but they suffocated the package. I would suggest you go for a jazzier design that can conceal the contents within, rather than a plain colour which shows off every lump and bump. Check out guys on Instagram or swimwear companies that display their styles on real guys, and you will see how different patterns and designs can enhance or conceal their manhood. Good luck.

 Bruce, let me also extend a warm welcome to the Forum! My endowment is average as well. (I'm okay with that; my erection is quite good!) That said, take a look at Skinzwear's e-catalog. You will find the male models rockin' bikinis and thongs with average flaccid endowments and lookin' GOOD! Lots of great colors and patterns to choose from. You can get a suit custom-made with a pouch lining if you (like me) have SOME modesty!😁 My suit of choice is their M73 Stuffit Rio microbikini, and I'll include the link at the end of this post. The model for this suit is the one who inspired me to get this particular one to start with. FULL exposure of abdomen, worn WAY down low, AND "Cheek & Cleavage Show" in back, and I say I have ANY modesty?!?😊 Take a look at the closeup of the pouch. His endowment looks to be average, and is presented very nicely. And it is enhanced simply by bodyshaving (which I do as well). I can tell you from personal experience that the pouch is very comfortable and supportive. And I've tried on the suit when fully erect, to test for comfort in case I run into a "Delightful Vista!"😋 (" The Boner" is held comfortably in a downward curve, presenting a reasonable bulge, with just the right stretch in the fabric.) This suit is NOT for swimming!!! I plan to use it on my next visit to Ocracoke Island on the Outer Banks of North Carolina (where microwear for men and women is welcome). I'm into bodybuilding and tanning, so this is my "Saunter Along The Beach" suit to work on my teeny tanlines! https://skinzwear.com/product_detail.ph ... Neon-Coral

Thank you. I appreciate the suggestions. The thing is, I think the reason why I am interested in swim briefs is to stop hiding... hence, the lighter colors in a standard brief. My original desire was to buy white. I don't want to buy anything with padding or one of the enhancing pouches. A pattern or a dark color are good options. Yet, I still want to just reveal what I have and not be afraid. Sort of a coming out party, lol.

That is awesome. Thank you so much and I will check it out. I would like to find something not as loose as the Aussiebum but not as tight as the Nike. That way, I will have a trifecta of suits and have everything covered... sort of speak. Going to the site now. Thanks.

Mategear has lots of small pouch suits, they used to have more flat-front suits too, I used to buy them for the Beach until Covid made overseas delivery very slow. They have a section for photos from actual customers, (I have a few if you scroll down far enough) I can confidently wear the smallest suit on the Beach, no one notices or cares since I don't show a big bulge.
