Do your friends know you wear thongs? What about potential love interests?

My friends don't know, although some have seen me or been with me on the beach.

As for underwear, it never comes up. I can imagine that some people have seen my laundry over the years. It's never been an issue with partners.

My choices in swimwear aren't without controversy among my friends, but for the most part I choose to go to the beach with people who at the very least don't mind or even admire the amount of skin I choose to show.

All of my close friends know that I wear thongs. They are all supportive, I always jokingly "slip" around them to get a laugh. As for my love interests, they've pretty much all approved. One of them finds it very attractive, so I've made an effort to purchase even more. She likes the look of them on me, and says they're hot. So I always make sure to wear my nice ones when I'm with her.

The big majority of my friends knows that i wear thong underwear. The minority doesnt know because just didnt happened to talk about underwear choices or see any whaletail. As for the people they know, well is not a big deal for them.It is not something to talk all day about or every time we met each other. Also they do not try to see if i am wearing thong or briefs or go commando. During all these years just happened to discover under various circustamces my underwear choice and thats it.
Of course to be honest my underwear choice isnt something i advertise to all people all the time.
For example, the last days of May, when in Greece is already hot, i was with my 2 male friends of mine and one of them said that during that day he felt very uncomfortable in his underwear because of the heat.
I know that he prefers tight boxers. Instead of saying something about thongs and how cool are as a choice, i only said that maybe , during the hot days, will be better for him to wear more skimpy underwear.
He said yeah ...and the subject ended.
Now about potential thongers....well ,,its a big conversation with many aspects .I dont know if someone of you is interest of read my experiences about potential thongers.
But, i am sure that strongly, during these years , i encourage men to try thongs, under different circustamces.
The most recent , happened only few days ago.
Me and my friend visited a small beach for swim.Very small beach, only 15 -20 metres long and 5 ( maximum) metres windth. There were about 20 people already, as you can imagine very close each other.
As soon we arrived my friend undress himself showing his swim thong to everybody.Me i was hesitant at first , but after he protested being only him in thong, i undress myself.
So we are now 2 men in swim thongs among 20 other people in a tiny beach.
back and diagonals from us was a very young couple, cute and fit. the girl was wearing a swim g string and the boy a white short swim short.
Righr after they saw us in our thongs, they started to talk.The girl pointed a few times to us.The boy seem to be a little confused, like not to know what to do.Anyway, after a lot of talk, the boy stand up, put down his shorts to reveal a nice blue swim thong !
And he stayed in his thong until the time they left at least 2 hours after.
Well i believe that we strongly encouraged this young man to show his thong and feel comfortable in it.

That's awesome, you're inspiring others to follow suit. (Bad pun) It took a while for me to be comfortable wearing thongs on the beach and even just out and about under normal clothes. I guess it was some weird irrational fear that somebody will see my different or judge me. It took a bit to get over that, but if I had a thong bud that could have helped me come out of my shell earlier that would have been fantastic.

Well i think that the behavior towards men thonger really depends from the country and the national society. for example : Greece since 70s has a growing tourist industry. this means that nudity at our beaches, topless women, swimthongs are the norm since many years ago, almost two generations. So the feelings towards these choices are positive or at least not negative. The same goes for the thongs. Every year since a child starts to visit beaches see women in thongs , men in string bikinis or small speedos, nude people. So for my generation is just another choice of underwear. A sexy and approved choice.
I can report two facts CrossFithong , in order to understand what i am saying.
1994 , the most popular magazine for male teenagers and male young people , as a present for his readers had a black thong! and it was possible to choose your size by bying different verion of the magazine. it had a small, medium and large dimension to choose.why thong ? because it was fashion for men. and why was in fashion ? because at that time all greek manufacters had men thongs in their range and was in fashionto wear jeans with big holes at the back.Nobody wanted to show his colourfull boxers , so the choice was the thong. My best friend Nikos, bought the magazine and when we met he told me that he was wearing it already. I try to find one too but the magazine was sold out.
Today , 2022, the main greek underwear company MED has a rich range of thongs in her clothes line. Especially nude color thongs appropriate for light linen pants. The best choice for our hot summer time.
The other greek company LORD has also thongs for men, the same goes for the third greek company MODUS VIVENDI.
So my friends either they thong or not was ok with my choice , not because they were open minded but mainly because they just follow the main behavior of the greek society towards thongs or minimal covering in general.

Only one of my closest friends knows I wear thongs. He found out after I had bought a pair at Macys in NYC and I wore them the next day. He didn’t realize that I liked thongs until that moment but now he realizes the love I have for them. I even persuaded him to give a thong a try he has likes them too with his boxer briefs and jocks too

Three or four guys and two or three women...
I finally came out to wife first... We were wasted and I came down wearing her panties.... I said I like wearing womens panties.... she did not say much and then a few minutes later said... it looks okay... you not gay right... I said no, they feel amazing, they look good on me why should only women get to look good..

we started wearing matching styles sometimes colors and clean house all day sunday and do laundy in only her panties.... we got involved with two borthers who were married on our street... They saw me in them and one of their wives did also...

My wifes sister saw me and two other guy friends...

I think it got me more action... My wife would get out of shower first and leave my pair on the bed... My neighbor came over one night in his wifes panties ....

I have wore in public also on vacation in front of tons of strangers...

In jamaica... The bartender asked where I bought them... I pointed and said their hers my wifes... he said you freak... I love it.... thought they were for men... I said no way.... womens are sexier....

The next night he had on short t shirt and red thong... he said these are my GF.... I said to her it will get me tips.... the wife and I sat there... we both agreed he had amazing butt.... the thong was amazing... The most fun is talking to people about it.... I would say look at my wife butt in that thong... and make her stand up...

One new years we had only the close friends to the party... you could only wear panties and bras of your choosing... it was amazing new years to say least.... we all loooked so hot...

I know this topic has been quiet for quite a while, but I didn’t know where else to post this.

A few weeks back I met a woman at the gym and we’ve had several friendly conversations. The other day I was talking about going to see my mother and taking time to hit the beach while I was visiting. I mentioned that I needed time alone from my mother and that she wouldn’t like what I wore on the beach. Of course that begged the question, what were you wearing? I told her something small. She asked how small. I said small. She then asked what I wore? I told her I wore a thong. Her eyes go wide along with her smile. She then said if you got the buns, show them off. Good for you!
It was one of the easiest reveals I’ve ever experienced.

As for speedos, one or two friends I scuba dive with have seen me wear them under my wetsuit. As for thong swimsuits, only my wife and stepdaughter have seen me in them poolside at the house. I haven’t worn a thong to the beach yet.
