Thank you Swimmer78 for your answer. You help me a lot to understand what was really hard to understand to me. The role of the religion was something i never think of it and yeah watching the political scene in Usa i see that it is a critical factor of influence behaviors and political acts. In Greece we are christian orthodox , but we do have absolute freedom in our lives.Freedom is the base of our religion .
But i have to say also that during the last 10 years, while we faced a serious economic crisis, the people in Greece, the big majority, seems to become more consernative. I can see it happening year by year in many aspects of social life.We became more consernative towards sexuality in general , freedom of speach, and so on.And i dont know when it will stop.The greek society , at least in my eyes, is not as liberal as used to be.
I totally agree about compromises in marriage. This is the only way to keep your mariage alive and be a happy husband. I was with a woman for almost 10 years and i know very well what you are saying.At first was very supporting with my thong underwear and swimwear. As the years passed and she stopped the gym, stopped excersise herself, becoming older ( she was older than me in first place) she began to felt insecure about her body image.Then she changed her attitude towards my thongs.She said that she is not feel ok with me thonging at the beach and she metioned various of reasons. Then she started being negative about my thong underwear.At first i obliged and for 1 summer i didnt worn thong swimwear, but i protested about thongs underwear.First because i didnt have any other type of undewear, so i had to buy new pairs. and secondly because was something that nobody see.its under-wear not out-wear.
Anyway for many reasons things was getting worst and worst between us and we divorsed.
But i really tried to keep our relationship. i wore speedos at the beach and bought 3-4 boxer briefs. but i felt like i am in prison.
Especially with boxer briefs i couldnt stand so much fabric.
So swimmer78 is there any percentage of time between thong and bikini wear?
a last thought : For me is really impossible to sleep at night with a thong.After so many years of thong wering, still i feel soooo good in them.What i mean is that they make me " upset" at least so if i wear one is certain that i cant sleep. The only times i slept, during the night, in a thong is when i was sooooo tired , so i just collapsed on bed after the day ended.
So, are you facing that "problem" or not?

You are welcome. Yes there seems to be a troubling rise of political conservatism/populism in some European states in recent years. I haven't traveled in Europe but do keep up with current events. I was aware of your country's economic troubles. I hope these developments will not push the mens swimwear we enjoy into the fringes in the future there. I also think women should not be restricted from wearing what they want or being topless on beaches or at pools. I say this with all sincerity. We should not go back to the dark ages.

I am roughly 50/50 on wearing bikinis and thongs lately.I wear the Doreanse Air thong to bed. It's very light and soft and I almost can't feel it. At first it excited me a little, but now have no problems sleeping with it on. I need to purchase some new thong underwear.

I'm not sure about the "English" puritan history of the US, I was born in England but have lived in Australia for the past 35 years. Australia is also heavily influenced by the UK. In England you can technically sunbathe nude on any beach so long as you are not causing offence to others. You can simply find a less crowded beach to sunbathe nude if you like. There are no restrictions of any kind on whether you can sunbathe in a bikini or a thong.

Likewise in Australia, you can wear a thong or a bikini without any problems, although you might get a few stares if you wear a very small suit or a G string. There are of course beaches where you can wear what you like, lots of nudist beaches too. It's all a bit less formal than the States.

America leads the world in so many good things, and coming from Australia where we have a beach / outdoors culture I find it incredible that you can't just turn up to a beach with a small bikini or thong and just enjoy yourself without checking by laws or having people complain.

Well, the three girls arrived yestarday 13/08/2022.When they arrived was alredy afternoon, so no swim.They went home, unpacked their clothes, eat something and end of the day. Today , my friend Nikos went at the beach with them. I couldnt attend .My friend Nikos wore his thong and the reaction from the girls was the type : nice choice, it suits you, is it a gift from Ioannis?.
The next step was just approval of his choice without other comments.
Later today, i was free and me them. they were at a loudge cafe, drinking smoothies and coffie.that cafe had a pool and the girls and Nikos went for a swim.I was there, not having a swimwear with me.
ll four of them were in thongs swimwear! Marvelous sight !! They took many photos, in all possible positions and compinations and i was the photographer hehe....
Of course without any negative comment from other customers.
I had on thong underwear, so when all of us entered into my car in order to go back, i felt amazing.
Five people, in one car, having a strap between their cheeks !!!!
I loved this thought.
Tomorrow we will go at the beach from early afternoon.

Well, things didnt go as i have planned. Not at ALL !...To be honest it was a disaster.
i will explain to you :
The three girls, i quess from the begining didnt like Niko in thongs.They didnt say anything partly because they know that Nikos likes to show himself ( a little) or maybe they thought that is only Nikos who wear a swimthong.
Sunday , as i wrote here, was the day we went to the beach.Also was the last day for the girls because on Monday early in the morning was their departure.
Me and Nikos wore our swimthongs , pick up the girls and drive to the beach.
As soon we arrived and settle our things, Nikos put down his shorts to reveal his thong.Until now everything ok.
I did the same.Not ok.Seem that 2 men in thongs was too much for them.None of the girls said nothing , but you could feel their strong annoyance.You could this in their faces.In order things go even worst, a young lady took video with her mobile of me and Nikos.
One of the girls said enough is enough and had an argument with this lady, while me and Nikos enjoyed the waves. (She took us video as we headed from the sand into the water).
This argument was the occasion to start a fight between the girls.The real reason was our outfit and the embarrassment it caused.
Things went even worst when Nikos commented as a joke that he wish the video become a story to instagram so he could feel a men thong celebrity.
Martha , his girlfriend, errupted by saying that she didnt like at all her boyfried being a exhibitioner and have a follower (me).
Fivi, changed her position.At first layed right next to me, after all that moved away from me.
And none of the girls wanted to walk with us on the beach.
After 2 hours being in this embarrassment situation, fivi did the big step and accepted to follow us to the beach bar tp buy refreshments.
Anyway, after 4 hours we decided to leave.
We continue our day going for dinner and sweets and we got back late in the night.
Fivi was very pleased from our daily trip, the other two was like : we didnt like what happened, ok lets pretend that never happened.
I dont know what was the reason for their reaction.Maybe they thought that 2 males in swithongs was too much.
Monday morning i drived to the port, took the ship with them and drived them at their homes. I had to go to Athens for a day , so i make this convinience to them.
Nothing was said about the swimthongs.Only Fivi, indirect tried to learn if i am into thong underwear. I tried to avoid to answer directly.
Matha was mad about the choices of Nikos and said that he must end being a child and get serious. i thing that she thinks that thong wearing is a type of joke or a game.
Well this is my report.I thing that these 3 girl just happened to be consernative. Nikos said to me that he will continue to wear what he wants and i will do the same.

For both of us this behavor was a shock.
Another incident :
when we left form the beach we didnt change to dry clothes.The girls havent enter into the sea at all, so their swimswits were already dry and we just left our swimthongs on.Usually when we are alone we change to clean underwear, but now the situation didnt permitted to do this.Our swimsuits were wet.Not very much, but enough to make us feel a little uncomfortable. Anyway.....
Next stop was at a seaside village.We ate there, walk a little. Then Paola proposed to visit a local bazzar which is open all night .( is organised once a year and stays open from the afternoon until next morning).
I said that i had to change,because i was the only one wearing a really short swimshorts.We went to the car, and i took my bag.
All entered into the car, expect from Fivi. She said that she like to see the moon in the sea. So she was standing right next to me, while i tried to undress and wear a more appropriate shorts.
I believe that she wanted to see , what i will wear under the shorts. A boxer like a man wears.... a brief maybe?
I kept my swimthong for two reasons 1) i was initially in the middle of the road, with people passing by, so no privacy and 2) i really didnt want to see my thong underwear. i had this thong :

Sorry to hear things didn't go as hoped for your beach outing. Just out of curiosity how old are the girls? If they are very young I could understand their reaction to you and your friends swim thongs. Maybe lack of maturity? It sounds like the girl your interested in had a better time than the other girls. It may just take her some time to get used to your thong preference. Don't let this experience discourage you too badly.

That’s unfortunate that your day at the beach was something of a disaster, but I’m struggling to understand why it was apparently ok the day before for your friend Nikos to wear a thong, which the girls didn’t object too, but the following day when you both wore your thongs, they reacted so negatively. Did they also not realise how hypocritical they were being by disapproving of you guys wearing thongs while wearing them themselves? It’s ok for us girls to show off our butts, but you guys mustn’t! I think the fact that they got into a fight with the girl that filmed you and your friend walking down to the sea also suggests they were jealous that she was checking out your butts.
Glad to hear that you and your friend have vowed to continue wearing what makes you both happy and haven’t allowed those silly, immature girls to put you off thongs.
