BodyAware
BodyAware
I debated on how to ask this, to start has anyone tried BodyAware recently. I like some of their styles but not necessarily that they are satin. Even though I’ve worn bikinis and thongs for some time I feel like I am still new at this. I personally hate website that blast “gay man’s underwear” on their sites, such has JJ Malibu - I do not mean to offend anyone but I don’t think my underwear preference equates my sexual preference. I live in the south, it gets humid and minimal underwear is beneficial. There are some features of underwear that, for me only, makes them more feminine such as lace. I’m sure there are some that have men’s lace underwear that find them wonderful and that is great for you. That brings me back to BA and satin, in the past satin to me has seemed like a feminine material for undies. My wife doesn’t care that I wear thongs, but the materials have been cotton, microfiber, poly blend or similar. Now I agree I don’t tell my wife what she can/can’t wear and she doesn’t tell me either but a fabric like satin would that raise an eyebrow? Do others that are married think similarly or am I overthinking this? Also, does satin breath well or hold in moisture? What is the appeal of them? Sorry for the long post/question I couldn’t figure out how to simplify my thoughts.

Satin also has no give or stretch to it. I have ordered men's satin thongs in the past and regretted it because they literally fit like women's panties in the front. my testicles were spilling out the sides and it was quite uncomfortable to wear. Silk is not good either. underwear made from nylon, modal, tactel, neoprene and microfiber are far better and stretchy.
Re: BodyAware
It's been several years now since I have last bought from them. I use to buy from them more in the early days of my bikini and thong wearing. They had more styles that interested me. They do make good quality underwear. Their satin tanga is one that grabbed my attention when I saw it. Probably the shininess caught my eyes plus they kind of remind me of the style I got started into bikinis. Their satin is a blend of 90% nylon/10% spandex, so I would imagine there is stretch to it. I don't know if much satin is still out there as options for women's underwear. Seems lace is the in thing now. I think most of BodyAware's offering in satin aren't going to raise an eye, since the designs do not look like women's underwear. If it has a flat front pouch then I think they could be mistaken for a pair of women's underwear. If you like the looks of a pair then just get it.

Re: BodyAware
I do remember buying shiny satin look string bikinis and thongs from Kiniki back in the 80's in various colours including red, black, blue and white, and I didn't think they looked feminine. In fact, I probably thought the shiny appearance of the fabric made them look sexier than a regular material. To this day, I'm not a fan of lace in male underwear, and I avoid silk for ethical reasons, but tactel is a great material and is soft to the touch. If you want to try satin, you should go ahead because, unlike swimwear, few people are going to see them(unless you're planning on joining a male stripper group).
Re: BodyAware
I have never tried satin underwear of any description. The glossiness of the fabric is one thing that puts me off them, and the other is that they did not look to be supportive or comfortable, i.e., the g-string style I saw in a chain-store had to much fabric for my liking.

Re: BodyAware
I personally don't like satin or lace because I too believe that it's more on the feminine side, and I am going for a more masculine presentation. But to each their own! If you like lace/satin, wear it! It's just not for me. If I wore lace/satin in front of my FWB's, they probably would raise an eyebrow. I think it also depends on the style and the way you present yourself with it. But like I said, I avoid lace/satin as I don't like them at all, and for the reasons stated above.David_NC wrote: Mon Jun 07, 2021 2:59 pm I debated on how to ask this, to start has anyone tried BodyAware recently. I also dislike websites that advertise their underwear/swimwear as if it was only for gay men. I'm not sure where that even came from, as bikinis and thongs were worn by all kinds of men in the past, not just gay men. JJMalibu was okay at the beginning, they had some good options that weren't so extravagant; But they quickly changed that and now that's all they are about, so I avoid them. Same goes for Andrew Christian. Although they have always advertised their underwear for gay men, they had some solid options at the beginning. I still have some of their more conservative (idk if this is the right word. Ha) underwear from the past. But I have avoided them for years now, as they don't have anything that I like.
I hope this helps!
Re: BodyAware
I think some of the reason that bikinis and thongs are advertised more towards gay men is because most of the underwear sites and brands are owned by gay men. Probably more gay guys buying too. Like you, if they are heavily advertised (sexual provocative especially) that way I'll pass on them too. Never order from AC because of it though not usually much there I liked other than maybe a swim brief.tony_sucks wrote: Tue Nov 30, 2021 4:26 pm I also dislike websites that advertise their underwear/swimwear as if it was only for gay men. I understand why you feel like men underwear industry is advertising only for gay men, I think gay men we are more openly about our choices about underwear
, don’t really no.
But for satin fabric I’ll recommend you Arroyman, it’s a Chile brand and they have satin shiny fabric thongs. I just got some and I love them. They are very comfortable.

I like to come right back with, "If men's underwear can be gay, does that mean that women panties can be lesbian?!"David_NC wrote: Mon Jun 07, 2021 2:59 pm I debated on how to ask this, to start has anyone tried BodyAware recently. Re: BodyAware
I have tried some BodyAware satin underwear . I like them they are super comfortable and I wear as daily wear. The Shimmer Mini thong , Shimmer tanga and Eminence tanga are some of my favorites . They all are great styles , the pouches on the Shimmer Tanga and thongs are really comfortable , offer really nice support and adds some bulge too. The Eminence tanga i like the cut of the backside of this bikini . It More of a 3/4 qtr cut . They are seamless as well. Unfortunately this is discontiued style , one that I hope they bring back. I will say that Bodyaware's satin material is lighter weight and have worn them during summer months with no issues. I can understand that some may think these are women's underwear, but they are certainly are made for men. I would recommend them , certainly give them a try if you are on the fenceDavid_NC wrote: Mon Jun 07, 2021 2:59 pm I debated on how to ask this, to start has anyone tried BodyAware recently.
