Cleaning out the #undies drawer

Post by Thonglover8k »

I was reading the latest undies blog and saw a picture of TBDrawer sorting out his undies drawer.
I thought, wow what a great idea, I've got four drawers of undies, the top drawer with over 130 things and G strings.
The next three drawers have over 350 bikinis of all shape and sizes, materials, mesh, see though, solid colours, almost all bikinis or micro bikinis.
I took some pictures of them in four piles, and would love to share them with you, although I'm not sure I know how to do that.
Anyway, after getting them all out and putting them on the bed, I decided it was just too much work, so I put them back in the drawers, but now they're all mixed up and hardly fit at all.
Do you all have the same sort of problem?

I have been contemplating doing this as well, I have boxer briefs that are taking up drawer space. They need to be moved to a storage container in the closet or sold; I’d keep some of my favorites though. I did actually try to organize and separate my undies at the start of 2020. I didn’t have drawer dividers but I tried to keep briefs, bikinis, string bikinis, thongs and boxer briefs in order. Then my wife would do laundry and just shove them all back in the drawer and the organization went to pot. Like all my clothes I have some I need to get rid of, however I just keep them and buy more lol.

David_NC, I do all the laundry in our house, (just the missus and me) but still occasionally stuff up the undies organisation.
I think today is the day for some organisation, wish me luck! 😂

I myself have been planning an underwear clean out! Although I don't have as many undies as the rest of you, I have quite a few that are old, worn out and don't fit well. Also some that I ordered from China (those darn Asian sizes are way different than ours) and they never really fit well!

Wow 350+ bikinis/thongs/g-strings? That's awesome bro! I once had about that many. That all changed on the summer of 2019, when I decided to eat some brownies with a buddy of mine. I was stoned for hours, and these negative thoughts of hoarding so many underwear were clogging my brain, not sure why. Anyways, after that entire scene ended, I grabbed a bag and decided to donate about 100+ underwear/speedos/thongs because they were taking up so much space. I threw away some really nice ones by accident ( prevail sport bikinis :( ) , but a lot of them were old, didn't fit, not my style etc.. It was a relief, but I kind of regret it now, because I did like some of them, and some were expensive (but again, a lot of them didn't fit anymore, which is the reason why I posted "How many sizes have you gone up?" in General Underwear Talk) . I think the negative thoughts came from the fact that I couldn't, and still don't feel comfortable wearing this type of underwear where I live (because family) and only feel comfortable wearing them when I'm not at home, like at the gym, on a trip etc..

But anyway, I only have a small gym bag with about 50-65 pairs of them, so I do not have a drawer problem haha.

Tony_Sucks,

Yes, cleaning / throwing out undies is very traumatic for me, perhaps that's why I still have so many, every time I try to get rid of some, I try them on and think, "these are nice, I'd better keep them"
I do have my bottom drawer that is for less worn undies, possibly on their way out or maybe a bit small, but that I still can't bear to part with. Seriously I need to get a grip.
If i could get the number down to perhaps 200 I'd be happy, of course, I'd have a lot more room and it'd probably mean I'd have to go shopping again.
I'm sort of dreading sorting through them all, but also looking forward to finding lost treasures.

Impressive you have 50-65 pairs in your gym bag, that sounds like me when I go on a weeks holiday, I take maybe 30 pairs, not just 7, because I can't make my mind up which pair to wear :-)

Well that 2 hours I won’t get back.
I’ve just sorted all my undies and thrown out 62 pairs!
Almost broke my heart!
Such a shame, some good brands gone, Doreanse, Hom, Male Power, Cocksox, heaps of unbranded jobs, some with elastic gone, some way too small, some that never fitted in the first place, some too big but too good to get rid of, I’ve been ruthless.
Next I’ll get rid of some more that have perhaps lost their colour or changed colours.
Funny, but most of the discarded pairs are bikinis, I’ve kept almost all my thongs, with the exception of some UM mesh thongs that I could only get some of my bit into but not all, if you get what I’m saying.
Feeling sad but also happy as I have another delivery coming this week.

I always find it difficult to throw out underwear. There is just something about putting them in the garbage knowing they will end up in a landfill to decompose slowly over time. The last time I had to thin out some, I had a little bonfire and burned them.

On a more positive note, I really enjoy trying to fold and sort underwear. It's been a definite work in progress trying to get organized. I have over 500 pairs which makes it challenging. I realize I should get rid of some more pairs; it's just too many.

500 pairs! That’s truely impressive, well done that man!
The thought of folding 500 pairs of undies is doing my head in, mine are all flat but not folded.
How do you fold them and I presume order them, by colour?, material? Style?

I could organize them a bit better, to be honest. I have them sorted by brand in some instances: a drawer of C-in2, a drawer of Jack Adams, a drawer of 2Xist, for example. Otherwise, I have tried to separate them by style: briefs, thongs, trunks, jocks, long johns.

This link give some insight into "my madness". Still would be nice to get better organized but I might need an entire closet in order to do that :)
