It was in the middle of September on a small beach in the north of Spain. From the water I calculated that there would be about 100 people on the beach, so I assumed that there would be 50 men there.
To my surprise, I saw that five of us were wearing speedos. It is true that some, once out of the water, changed into shorts, including one of the two lifeguards who attended the beach. I kept my speedo on before and after taking the bath until I got dressed to go.
But I was pleasantly surprised to see that 10% of the men on the beach wore speedos.
I hope that in the next summer season this good percentage will increase.
Nice to hear that speedos are still a seen on European beaches. I heard that they were not worn as commonly as before, at least by younger men. I have often admired the carefree attitudes towards the body many European countries hold. The only time that many men in speedos can seen where I live is at a swim meet or at the Pride beach event in late May at Pensacola Beach, Florida.
