New Daily Thong/Bikini User

Hi Everyone,
This is my first time posting to an underwear forum, but after reading all the topics and how open everyone is, I thought I would give it a shot. I purchased my first set of thongs/bikinis when I was 13 at target and would wear them around the house, but didn't tell anyone as I was too embarrassed. I think they were Fruit of the loom or Hanes and weren't that comfortable. When I went off to college, I started ordering a couple thongs, bikinis, and jocks online and would wear them around the dorm or apartment as I thought they were really comfortable, but didn't have the courage to wear them outside my walls. I gave my roommates a heads up in case they saw it, and neither of them seemed to care.

For the past 20 years, 99% of the time I would wear boxers to bed and outside of the house, while only occasionally building up the courage to wear a thong or bikini. It's only been in the past couple weeks that I have started to wear thongs/bikinis/jocks all day even to work (which is hard since I work in construction). I hope to become a full time wearer of T/B/J's and forgo the boxers, but I need to figure out how to not let anyone see what I'm wearing while at work.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for taking the time to contribute your thoughts on the subject that we all love to share and promote. I'm sure you will enjoy catching up on Nate's posts on the main blog, and the input from the followers there and on this forum as well.
With your job being in construction, I would imagine if you live in a country with warm temperatures, being comfortable under your working attire would be high on your list. Wearing a thong, bikini, or even a jockstrap would definitely be better than heavy boxers or long trunks, but as everyone who has walked past a building site will know, the terms "builder's bum" or "plumber's crack" are well named(lol). It seems to be part and parcel of the job that builders have to display the brand and style of their underwear every time they bend over, although in some cases the amount of full moon on display would suggest that going commando is a distinct possibility(lol). I can imagine the teasing you would get if your thong was to make an unexpected guest appearance on the building site, although for passers by it might be a welcome change from the usual CK's(lol). You could try wearing low rise bikinis, or a jockstrap, which doesn't usually attract the negativity associated with thongs. My only other suggestion would be a belt that would hopefully lessen the chances of your skimpy underwear being seen. Failing all that, you could just go for it, and perhaps when your sweaty boxer wearing workmates see how cool you are in a thong, they might give them a try? Good luck!

Congratulations you finally got the courage to wear what ever your want. Now you are in transition, I wear 99% of the time thong and I took me a while to get here, I remember when I started wearing tanga brief in high school and I thought everyone could notice what I was wearing.
Now I don’t really care and I’m pretty sure at the gym people notice I am wearing thong under my tights, so, give you some time, and sometimes could be embarrassing being seen by people you dont want to but is YOUR underwear. If someone see it they will get over.

Welcome to the forums THGBIKJOKUSER! Congrats on starting to wear bikinis/thongs/jocks away from the house. That is a good step and you should do that whenever you are not working, since I would think it would be less likely for them to sneak and show above your pants. My guess a jock wouldn't draw too much attention, since it is an item people do see as for men. Probably more for sports and working out over daily wear, but still going to be more accepted by most over a thong. I do have a post I'm working on with some ideas for getting into bikinis and thongs. One thing I suggest to people that are afraid of their underwear showing some is to go with ones with brand waistbands. Seems to be okay to show that to people. A lot of times that is mostly what is going to show, Maybe a little fabric.

My suggestion for starting to cut boxers out of work underwear is start with the bikini cut. They're going to resemble at least briefs if showing above the waist of pants, which are acceptable for guys to wear. Basically the more you wear the styles the more comfortable you will be in them.

Welcome to the forum!! Certainly start wearing them to work, I wear all three styles to work. I find them more comfortable and it adds some fun to the work day. I make sure that I wear a little longer shirt and a belt . For the most part I haven't had any issues with my underwear showing . Some of my jocks have the wider band will show some above my pants when I bend down. I think Nate is correct is that bikinis a good place start, usually those aren't as noticeable. Over time it you will be more confident, you wont worry as much and will wear wear them all the time.

Thanks everyone for the welcome and suggestions. I took everyone’s advice and started wearing bikinis for a couple days. Then I decided to throw caution into the wind and not care what other people thought and switch to jocks and thongs. I have a couple thongs with high waistbands that made that decision easier. For the days I wore jocks I wore a longer shirt and tucked it in (thanks JR_TWO). It also helps with the warmer weather and sweaty ball syndrome. The only downside to wearing thongs/jocks/bikinis I see is having to lower my pants to use the bathroom as there is no fly installed (the only plus side to boxers). I have found lots of thongs and jocks on Amazon and Freshpair.com that are really comfortable and well designed.

Glad to hear everyone's suggestions have gotten you to start wearing the styles you wanted to at work. You'll get use to the no fly opening in time.

Great to hear that you successfully moved to bikinis and thongs. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I thought most toilets on construction sites were single occupancy cabins with a lockable door, so even if you had to lower your trousers/pants to use the facilities, no one would see your butt in a bikini or thong. If, on the other hand, the toilets are communal, perhaps you could go into a cubicle to urinate, although your workmates might think that a little strange. Who knows, if one of your colleagues did get a glimpse of your skimpy undies, it might not be such a bad thing, and perhaps it would inspire him to follow your example and join the growing TBD family(lol).

I'm not sure I understand why you need to lower your pants to use the bathroom. I assume you are talking about urinating... I have always just unzipped my fly and pulled the top of my undies below my shaft to use the toilet. I generally don't undo my belt and open the button on my pants. My balls stay tucked in the undies, but my shaft is out where I can use the toilet gracefully, and then pack things away. If you are not used to this method, I can see where it could take some getting used to.

Once at a highway rest stop in Pennsylvania, I saw a man in the public restroom using one of the urinals... mind you, I said MAN, not a boy, or a teenager, or a young child. He was urinating and he had his trousers down past his hips... buttocks totally exposed. I don't understand WHY any man would feel the need to expose themselves in that way just to relieve their bladder. It's inviting trouble, if you ask me.
