Hi gents.
Just need a venting session. Do you also have issues with online stores having generic sizing charts.
One store always has decent priced Jockey swimbriefs on sale.
The only issue is. The sizing is way off. First one I bought based on size chart was 28. This was wrong. My package was pressed back so tightly.
Then I ordered size bigger in different color. This could not even go over my thighs.
I've ordered for 3rd time 2 sizes up hoping it fits.
Wish companies would take time to do these things right.
Sizing issues
Re: Sizing issues
Part of the problem is the variability in the manufacture of the items. So one item of size S can fit very comfortably, but a second, bought at the same time or later (experience has shown me this does matter) can be a poorer fit. This may be what you are experiencing here. The real solution is for manufacturers to be better with their quality control, but as for a practical solution for you, it really is a case of luck. This is why so many of us on this forum have an issue with internet purchasing. It does not allow you to try an item before purchase. Had your items been available in a local shop, you could have seen and tested them before purchasing. Have a look at the Kiniki Newton g-string. Order the size that any other style fits well in and that size will be uncomfortably tight in the Newton. Design flaw or manufacturing flaw I don't know, but this was a common complaint in the Newton feedback with suggestions to size up.
There was a past review TBD did of a Candyman item - he had to cut six inches out of the waist just for it to fit. That is ridiculous. That's 15 cm, which is into a size bracket way past what it should be. I've seen some websites warn that sizing might be up to 5 cm out either way. Why, it should not be more than 5 mm for a well made garment, surely.

Re: Sizing issues
I wonder if they could be a Jockey knock off or something to be way off in sizing. I guess I would think Jockey would be better with their sizing though swimwear is usually a tighter fit over underwear. Guess it could be the particular style too. Like the Doreanse flashy g-string I bought was way too small with the size I've been buying in their other styles and was the size to buy based on their size chart. Then like DownUnder mention the Newton thong from Kiniki. Compared to other styles from them the fit was snugger getting over the thighs and hips. Once I got it on and adjusted it was fine to wear and grew on me. Again like DownUnder said the Candyman g-string I bought I had to alter for a better fit. I may have taken a little more than necessary out of it, but I wanted to make sure it supported well.
We should be able to expect the same sizing across a brand and their styles or at least they should note if the pair differs. I have seen some note a pair is a snugger fit and may want to size up. All we have really is the size chart to help us figure out what size to buy. There aren't always reviews out there for us to go on and one review saying the size is off doesn't necessary mean it will be for you. If we see multiple saying it then that is a better indication it is truly off.
