I understand that Y2K fashion is coming back. I don't mind it if someone decides to let their panties show above their jeans, but I don't think it should happen in the workplace. Last month, I was at a street fair and saw one of the staff members with her thong pulled up above her jeans. I can see what look she was going for, but I wouldn't be pleased if I was the manager.

Yeah - I agree with that. It's one thing if it's an accident - but on purpose? No... I want people to feel comfortable though clothes should not be a distraction in a professional office/clinical workplace/retail environment/etc. It also goes for inappropriate t-shirts/innaprope crop tops, etc.

I do believe we need to be more tolerant towards thongs in pools and beaches for sure - and there it's all about context.

However, I guess it depends on what your workplace and career is - and in that case it might be celebrated and rewarded!

One time I was doing something and when I bent over, the waistband of my pants slid down and the top of my panties became visible. A very nice lady just sort of stood behind me until I stood back up and she startled me. She then explained that my panties were visible and she didn't think I'd want anybody to see them. She then proceeded to tell me that my panties were cute and I have excellent taste. Super nice of her

Back when I worked at FedEx, there was a guy that worked on our sort line. He always wore grey sweats, and you could very easily see the outline of his bikini underwear. 1-inch sides and high cut with a narrow seat. I always wanted to ask him what brand he wore, but thats not something that men do, especially if they don't know each other.

One time I stopped at a gas station on my way back to Fort Worth to get a drink. And there was this young guy with an Athletic build probably in his 20s standing in front of me, and you could see the outline of his thong underwear through his nylon sweatpants.

Another time, I was at a convenience store just a few blocks from my house, getting a cup of coffee and there was this Indian guy standing at the cash register in front of me, and you could clearly see that he wore string bikini underwear.

NOO87, that is great news! To borrow from that funny Christmas song: "They're Everywhere! They're Everywhere!" This news would cause an "influencer" to have a cow!!!

Maybe because I live near a college town and go there often I see more than most. It is not uncommon to walk down the sidewalk as see a dozen or more young women in some way or another displaying their thong, g-string, boy shorts or bikini underwear either with semi sheer clothing or with the straps pulled up above the waistband of their pants or skirts. I also tend to visit the place I grew up (a beach town) and see women regularly wearing their thong bikinis with a sheer coverup in stores, restaurants and other businesses.
