Today, I make this post in honor of both the women we have welcomed to the Forum as well as the women who we love so dearly in our own lives. Sunday, April 9, 1939...opera singer Marian Anderson (a strong and accomplished woman of color with a stunning vocal range) was giving a recital at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.
