I went to the beach yesterday in Melbourne Australia, it was the first warm day since winter, there where a few guys in very small thongs, makes me happy to see other guys are catching on.

I am currently in school, and it seems like it is a becoming a trend to show a bit of your underwear above your pants. Girls are wearing low rise pants and letting their underwear peak out over the waistband. Has anyone else noticed this trend?

I was doing something outside and I bent over. The neighbor lady asked if she could have some iced tea with me. I invited her over and she suggested we go inside where we could talk privately. She then proceeded to tell me that she knew I wore panties because she could see them every time I bent over. She told me she liked my confidence and desire to wear what I want. I was scared out of my mind because I live in an extremely conservative area and I don't need or want a lot of grief and aggravation. She assured me that my secret is safe with her. She is now a regular guest in my home and I wear dresses when she's here. She's even helped pick dresses for me. She like to crossdress as a man so we have a lot of dinners together. Nothing serious at all, just 2 friends enjoying each other's companionship and dressed the way we want

I love wearing my panties, but for God's sake, cover up folks!!! If you want to wear panties, dresses, thigh-highs, and/or other things great. I'll defend you to the end. You should still try to dress decently. I don't need to see your panties, bra, slip, or any other undergarments. Everybody should want to dress decent and not invite grief and aggrivation

This is an early 2000s fashion trend making a comeback. Celebrities like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera were wearing those super low-rise jeans letting their panties show and the trend caught on. I agree with Cheeky, undergarments need to stay as undergarments in public.

Last month, I was at a street fair and saw one of the staff members with her thong pulled up above her jeans. I can see what look she was going for, but I wouldn't be pleased if I was the manager.

Yeah - I agree with that. It's one thing if it's an accident - but on purpose? No... I want people to feel comfortable though clothes should not be a distraction in a professional office/clinical workplace/retail environment/etc. It also goes for inappropriate t-shirts/innaprope crop tops, etc.

I do believe we need to be more tolerant towards thongs in pools and beaches for sure - and there it's all about context.

However, I guess it depends on what your workplace and career is - and in that case it might be celebrated and rewarded!
