Basic briefs with a high leg cut.

A place to talk about underwear in general that doesn't fit in thongs or bikinis.

Basic briefs with a high leg cut.

Post by SwimBriefDude93 »

Hey guys,
Recently bought some briefs and, whilst they're okay, I'm looking for something with a higher leg cut at the sides.
I'm not really looking for thongs or tangas or anything too skimpy; just some basic briefs with a high leg cut that are affordable and preferably available in the UK.
Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks.

If basic bikini shape panties will work, M&S do 5pk Cotton Rich Lycra High Leg Knickers. Price is only UKP 8 for 5 pairs. Also in modal and microfibre. If you try, let us know how you get on.

I have to admit that I was referring to male briefs, however I've never thought about going down the female route, it might be something to consider.
Just wondering, in terms of sizing obviously men have the bits in front to consider, so how does female sizing differ from male sizing?

Having thought a bit more about it, I've decided to stick to looking for male briefs, as I'm not sure I'd be comfortable wearing women's underwear.
Any other recommendations are welcome.

I'm not sure I'm fully grasping the distinction between a high-cut leg brief and a bikini brief, so I can just say that the Olaf Benz and Ergowear string bikinis that I have in heavy rotation are the best option for me. I favor high-cut styles, and other than my now "vintage" Kinikis, they're the best I've found!

Check out the briefs made in the UK by Sukrew! They might have the cut you're looking for.

Thanks for the replies guys.
Having looked at all of the brands mentioned, I think it turns out that I probably was referring to bikini briefs after all.
Granted I probably won't fill the frontal pouch as much as the models on the websites, but that's what sizing is for right?
Speaking of sizing, one thing that does concern me is how low the waist is on some briefs.
I actually had an unfortunate incident when I ordered a pair of Kiniki micro swim briefs in my usual size and when I tried them on they were so low that they rested just above my groin; it didn't help that I'm kind of fat and there was a noticeable gap between my crotch and my belly were my bare waist was visible.
I'd rather not have them look like that so in that case, if briefs are low waist, would sizing up be a good idea in order to gain a bit more waist coverage?

Thanks.
