Department Store Thongs

I’m wondering if there are older thong wearers like myself who remember the time when most major department store still carried mens thongs. I miss being able to buy them at stores, like Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Burlington and Macys. Some stores like Target, K-mart, JC Penney and Walmart had their own store brand of mens thongs. They all stopped carrying them in the early 2000s. My favorite were the Jockey Life Stretch Thongs they sold at Walmart. Although not all Walmart stores carried them, so they weren’t that easy to find. Marshall and TJ Maxx had the biggest selection. I don’t think any department stores carry them now. The only options now are adult stores or buying

Yes!!!!! Love searching around at stores for them. And to be honest I still do. Hoping to find some. The Joe Boxer at Kmart was the first. They had to leopard print and the blue leopard as well and solid colors. I loved the Walmart Life brand as well.

Those Joe Boxer thongs from Kmart were my first thongs too. I told the story in a post on here but my grandma actually bought them for me for Xmas thinking the were the bikini briefs my stepmom told her I wear. I still remember wearing those blue leopard ones for the first time, it felt so sexy... I loved those thongs and wore them out, but I will say that pouch was not equipped to contain a hormonal teenager lol.

I remember that pattern set as well! Back a few (!!) years ago, when I was in grad school, I remember wearing the blue leopard print, although the Joe Boxer thong I think I wore the most were heather gray. Also, camo ones from Prevail Sport (but those don't count for dept. store purposes!)

I was 16 when I got my first men's thong. Someone on the Thongboard message board mentioned that he had bought some thongs at a Debenhams department store. So, I went to the nearest Debenhams and searched through the men's section. After a thorough search, I found a pack of Thomas Nash sports thongs in my size.

Then, I moved to Canada when I was 18, and while buying things for my my new place at Winners, I found a couple of 2(x)ist Y back thongs on the rack. They were only $10 a pair back in 2010, so I thought they were a steal.

Although Winners no longer carry men's thongs, there is a department store in Canada called Simons that sell men's thongs.

Funny story:
Back in the mid 2000's I was a buyer at a Midwest super center. The store would come out with a red silk thong for valentines day for men. One day the owner of the company noticed the thong, it was recalled and not to appear again.
