Thong on beach - summer 2026

Ciao Italian. It was at Capo Gallo in Mondello. It's an unofficial nudist zone, although not everyone is naked.

Looks like summer has finally arrived here in the Great Lakes. It might be here to stay, finally. Here in the USA it is Memorial Day which ment most people have the day off from work and school. The beach was very busy with lots of people, families and couples. I met up with a few friends. We were set up about mid beach with everyone around, walking past or in other words one of the more busy parts of the beach. As usual I stripped down to my thong, a Stars and Stripes metallic shiny print. My friends made mention of how I was “celebrating the holiday.” There were a number of young women in thongs and cheeky bikinis but all the men were wearing longer shorts (typical for this part of the world). Rangers walked by without batting an eye. I got a few second looks from some of the beach goers, but nothing negative. Simply put it was a good day to hang out with friends, enjoy the sun and wear a thong.

Sounds great! If I saw you in your stars and stripes thong, I would probably "salute."

Summer beach season is over for me.
I'm happy for my summer. Again I didn't spend a single minute on sand with something more than hat, sunglasses, slippers and thong or string. I never asked myself what to wear and if acceptable. Also had some walk on street between parking and beach.
Some positive interactions with people, no negativities neither by "dangerous" male age 15-30.

I'm in California and when I first started wearing thong bikinis I was one of the only girls to wear one. Now they're a lot more common. I've even seen a couple men wearing them as well. Hopefully it becomes more accepted.

We made it out to the reservoir earlier in the season. Sadly we haven't been able to make it out in late July or August. Thong season is quickly coming to an end in the PNW. We have about one more weekend left (possibly the 12th or 13th). The rain comes in this week!
