Advice and recommendations

Post by SwimBriefDude93 »

Hi everyone,
I'm new here and I would really appreciate some advice and recommendations.
I've worn a Speedo for a few years, a rather conservative looking one with quite full sides, and I've always wanted some swim briefs that were of higher cut, 2cm or 1.5cm.
I ended up purchasing some swim briefs that looked higher cut than what I'd worn previously.

After I'd had them delivered and tried them on, I was amused to find that I'd ordered a size too small; however I soon realised that I like the look and feel of them and how they were higher cut and slightly revealed a bit of my bum cheeks as well, similar to women's bikini briefs, and I can't wait to wear them at the pool and beach.
As such I have decided to order some micro swim briefs; so far I think that the HOM micro swim briefs and the Kiniki micro swim briefs fulfill my criteria of being higher cut and revealing a bit of the bum cheeks.

That being said I am open to suggestions if there are better ones, as long as they are appropriate for a public pool and beach and not too expensive.
One question I do have is that I am a size 40 waist and the Speedo that I've wore before is a size 38 but it still fits okay; I was wondering whether I should stick with my usual size or scale up or down in size if I want it to reveal a bit more?

Thanks.

Hi Swimbriefdude93 and a warm welcome to the forum! You are definitely in the right place. A lot of guys say to size up when it comes to swim briefs, but I always wear my size or even down one, because swim briefs are designed to fit very tight. You already know that. I'm a 34 - 36 in pants so I wear swim briefs in those sizes. I never size up with swim briefs or bikinis, they just don't fit right, plus as they get worn they will become too loose. If you want it a little cheekier in the back then maybe go a size down. Although I think what makes a mans bikini brief "cheeky" is more the cut and style than the sizing.

I really like those HOM micro briefs! That might be my next buy. Have you tried Sporti Euro briefs from Swimoutlet? I highly recommend those.
