Department Store Thongs
I’m wondering if there are older thong wearers like myself who remember the time when most major department store still carried mens thongs. I miss being able to buy them at stores, like Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Burlington and Macys. Some stores like Target, K-mart, JC Penney and Walmart had their own store brand of mens thongs. They all stopped carrying them in the early 2000s. My favorite were the Jockey Life Stretch Thongs they sold at Walmart. Although not all Walmart stores carried them, so they weren’t that easy to find. Marshall and TJ Maxx had the biggest selection. I don’t think any department stores carry them now. The only options now are adult stores or buying

I do miss a department stores/discount stores having a selection of thongs to choose from. Other than the Jockey Outlet, I can't remember the last time I bought thongs at a store.

There was always a bit of a thrill buying thongs from a department store. I do miss that. The experience of finding the right thong, walking it up to the register, and interacting with the clerk made buying thongs an experience. Now I order online and wait for a nondescript package to arrive. It’s not the same.

i remember when macys carried mansilk thongs....i bought one and the women at the counter took it out of the box. She said she just wanted to make sure there was something inside because it was so light! LOL
Department stores (macys' hudsons and marshal fields what ever they were back in the day), carried CK thongs and 2xst thongs! It was hot. Also remember JCP carrying jockey thongs as well as some no brand thong (this was in the 90's).
I never found Target, Walmart, KMART own brand thongs any good. THey were made cheaply and well probably turned alot of guys off thongs.

I did okay with regular-ish purchases of Joe Boxer and Underwear Exchange thongs for a long time (K Mart and Target, respectively) .... I don't think I bought any from Walmart, as that would have been where I'd pick up the Hanes and Life string bikinis from the same era...

Re: Department Store Thongs
I still have thongs that I bought in Scottish department stores many, many years ago when they were still displayed on hangers next to the regular briefs. BHS, TopMan, C&A and Burton's are just a few of the stores that sold thongs and even g-strings back then, which have unfortunately disappeared from our high streets.

I remember seeing them at kmart and looking back I wish that I would have bought some. At the time I remember two girls looking at them and giggling at the fact they made mens thongs. I think shopping in person is definitely better. Just wish we could do more now days
