I am actually approaching this dilemma. My son is almost 2 and I always wear thongs around the house in the morning and occasionally evening. Growing up, it was not at all odd to see my dad in his underwear, which were always boxers. I have been thinking about it and the only reason I may switch to bikini briefs in the morning is as a courtesy to my son as he gets a little older (maybe 4-5), solely based on maturity rather than age. Mainly just so he doesn't have to stare at his dads bare butt. I have no intent to hide my thongs from him and will encourage him to wear whatever underwear he wants to. But, I am thinking on the same lines as how I will wear boxers or boxer briefs around my sister-in-law and her husband to be a little more modest and polite. I realize that people may not find my bare butt attractive, although, in reality I'm sure most wouldn't care.

Plenty of us just walk around straight up naked at home so dont feel the need to hide your thongs or not wear them. Him seeing your butt wont harm him especially if hes already seen you naked before

I normally walk around naked and know it isn't a big deal (college, locker rooms, etc.) it is just hard to get past all the b.s. these days. It was perfectly normal to see the same gender nude, because it doesn't matter. I suppose the best thing is if he grows up with it, then it is just normal. So, hopefully when he is mature, changing in a locker room, or in front of a room mate in college, camping etc. he has no worries or apprehensions.

We had a gang shower (just two sets of 5 shower heads, no dividers or curtains) in college and I remember trying to see if people wore bathing suits or not before I had to shower for the first time. It was totally new to me and I had never showered or hardly changed in front of anyone. I finally just had to shower and went in nude, hoping that was how everyone else did. Less than a year later I am having full conversations with 4 other guys while taking a shower and realizing that it is no big deal. It seems so silly that I worried about it now, but I remember back then thinking I hope no one walks in while I am showering.

As long as you are consistently nude with/around him then he should grow up to see it as normalized

You should get him a few similar pairs of his own that he can wear so it can teach him he can he comfortable wearing anything. Plus its a good bonding moment

I am definitely going to let him pick what he likes. I'm hoping he goes with what is comfortable and not what is "normal". I really wish I had started wearing thongs from a much younger age.

I will definitely! Oddly enough, I wore jockstraps for sports for a long time but it never occured to me to just wear them as underwear.

I sleep nude and wander around the house in the mornings for around an hour nude pretty much every day. I wouldn't want that to change. Not to mention most evenings are in a thong as I relax after dinner. Heck, my son and I have enjoyed his kiddy pool in the hot summer both nude while my wife just sat back and smirked at our childishness. I guess it is a good thing I had a boy haha
