A place to talk about underwear in general that doesn't fit in thongs or bikinis.

I have been under persecution for my underwear choice since i was very young. My father was capten in cruise ships for most of his professional life.these ships were mostly in carrebean sea, ( thats why i have a brother in Cuba, but thats is another story hehe),so he has a strong influence by usa. So when i was young i was wearing the classic white fruit of the bloom briefs like many of you. My father always brought to our home products from Usa.
The problem was that i was living in Europe, and the norm in early 90s was the loose boxers..these who are like wearing shorts..
So when i was around 14 years old i made the switch to them, because all my peers they were wearing them.
My father was really upset. My mother was embarrass.I still remember her calling some relatives and asking their advise.
My family is sooo consernative and every change is a PROBLEM.
Anyway i insisted and i won....
In high school things changed again and in fashion was the small bikinis and thongs. So i followed again the trend. I didnt moved to thongs as my best friend did ( i didnt have the courage for this huge fight) but i adapted the mini bikinis ( slip in europe) from sloggi. they were really small...a war began. My parents thought that i was gay at least. They was sooo stongly against. We had a fight every day . Anyway i was big enough to insist again for my choice, though i felt like i was in war zone.
Very soon after i left my home for studies and i was free at last to wear what i liked.
During the first 2 years as a student i was between tiny bikinis and going commando and then i moved to thongs as i always i liked the minimum cover.
I was fortune to have a roomate who positively encouraged me to discover thongs, to enjoy going without underwear or to search and buy small/tiny bikinis. He was the one who teached me to sleep naked and he always be in my heart.
Now i am into thongs and i really feel lucky to have my 2 best friends in thongs also as my current gf and my ex ( for 10 years) wife.

Thanks for sharing your story - Sorry to hear it was so rough growing up! My wife and I are in our 40's and we feel more free and liberated than we were in our 20's.

My wife and I wish we could relive our 20's (together) knowing what we know now and wearing what we wear now!

Thank you tacoma!! Well past is past..we cant change it ,but also we must live the present and look at the future...
I am 46 now...i wish the same with you..especially about the knowledge for many things i have now , in my age. i know very well to insist and say immovable to what i want. The same with underwear because, as now i am thinking, i always had a fetich about them. As for thongs...i was 23 in 2001 when i first tried them and started wearing them occassionally . the only think which i regret is that i started wearing them exclusively when i was 30...i had to started earlier....

I was " Picked on" twice. One asshole in my class picked on me for wearing thermal underwear . AKA long John's. When temperatures get down around 10 or zero they are a necessity not a choice at least for me. Another time a friend said "nice underwear" and "they look good" about my light blue bikini briefs in a teasing way. Basically
Interpreted as "you're a skinny little nerd with glasses looking goofy in your skimpy blue undies but we love you despite that"

Similar situations for me, noname. But I've had the last laugh so many times since then that I've lost count. I consider myself a child of the Civil Rights Movement, and this is one of my daily affirmations: "I DON'T give up. I DON'T give in. I DON'T give out." And here is my own addition: "I FIGURE it out." This sort of mindset certainly helped when I finally developed the strength to come out in 2018. As with me, the chances are good that your tormentors not only made little of their lives, but you may have even outlived many of them. In trying be compassionate in regards to them, many may have been lashing out because they themselves were being abused. (I later found out that was indeed the case with a number of my "fans.") Continue wearing your microwear with pride AND erotic enjoyment!!! I've just finished up a good abdominal-vacuuming session followed by an intense 15-minute ab-rolling session with " Funky Town" (9-minute version! :D ) and "Perfect 1-2-3-4" (extended version, too! :P ) wearing my Skinzwear M73, pecs and abs misted with baby oil, abs and bellybutton doing the seemingly impossible :o , and feeling as erotic as  Yes, the "last laugh" indeed!

A bit of a story here, but the wife and I had a little get together with 3 other couples a few years back. After we ate we settled in and started drinking! After a few hours of playing loud music and a lot more drinking we all started to loosen up.

The wife and I decided to switch pants and we did it right in front of everyone! I left my shirt on to hide my underwear ( black men's nylon bikinis) but one of the wives said "nice underwear" and I was like "you didn't see much". A short while later a stripper style song came on and I went with it and took off my pants and went around the kitchen kind of lap dancing a bit with everyone, again leaving shirt on. The party ended and everyone left.

The following weekend the wife and I hung out with the one of the couples again and of course the previous weekend came up. The boyfriend said to me something like "So you like dancing around in panties?' To witch I replied "they were men's and are very comfortable". End of that conversation :D

I truly believe that a lot of the younger Generations especially those that were born after 1990 truly do not know that male versions of bikinis and thongs are available, or that they even exist. I was born in 1971 and I didn't discover men's bikini underwear until I was 14. Before then I had no idea that they made such underwear for men and that men actually wore that style. And mind you, this was back during the time when you could go to any department store and you could find a wide selection of men's bikinis, string bikinis and thong underwear in the men's wear section. Even then I didn't know about these other options. I had been wearing big, baggy Y-Front briefs since I graduated from wearing diapers.

So it's possible that your friend wasn't being sarcastic, he just simply didn't know that there were bikini and thong options for men and that that silky brief you were wearing truly were women's panties.

But his question to you tells me that he's curious about bikini and thong underwear, and maybe he's curious about trying them. Perhaps he's always wondered what wearing bikinis and thongs would look like on his body and how he would feel wearing them. So I would not let it go! I would keep asking him subtle questions, perhaps in time you might be able to convince him to try men's bikinis and string bikinis and thong underwear.

I never though of that NoOnesOnion87, he may have been curious. I don't see him anymore because my good friend broke up with him, she told me he was a loose boxer guy. GROSS!
