My wife and I go to a clothing optional beach in Texas. We walk the beach in tiny g strings. Our pierced nipples get more attention than the strings.

I’m all for wearing the least amount to beaches where it is legal. My wife loves to show me off and has no issue with me wearing see-through swimwear on occasion, but it is always at an appropriate beach. A friend and I go to a nude beach occasion and he always wears his nipple rings, a cock ring, and a bejeweled plug. I am not that bold though I have recently begun using plugs. I never realized how good they would feel until my wife bought one for me and insisted I try it. She then bought me a backless g-string that is held in place with a plug. It has a very thin waist strap and that’s it. It goes great with a pair of mesh shorts and a stringer tank top.

My swimwear of choice when at the beach is definately a mens thong or gstring. In Australia, speedos are common, but still not as common as shorts. In saying that, there are more fellas wearing a thong these days in Australia and it's usually with no issue at all. Gstrings are less commonly seen amongst the fellas, though my swimwear collection consists of many triangle back style gstrings which I do enjoy to wear when at the beach.

In Australia I know there's some different term. Thongs aren't type of slippers?
For me in Europe g-string is that with narrow string at sides and between cheeks and nothing else behind, just a T. If there's a triangle back, it's not more a G-string.
In Italy there are different terms for narrow sides panties and with some back and other type with "normal front" and skimpy back.

You are right but I have noticed more and more recently that thong is becoming a term that also refers to underwear and swimwear. Sometimes the distinction between thong and g-string in the rest of the world is g-string and v-string or even mini v.
