Does anyone have any recommendations for good quality everyday bikini underwear with a good pouch preferably in cotton?

probably from the Bristol firm intersparta , now sadly closed down. They used toproduce a very detailed catalogue with beautiful wordy descriptions of their styles and even the weight in grams

1986, K-Mart, they were Hang ten men's cotton bikinis. K-Mart had a good selection way back them Other brands I bought there- Brut 33, Britannia, and of course Hang Ten.
Hang Ten had a nice selection of bikinis and string bikinis.

Hmm, I was a teenager in '78. Visited family in Europe. Got a brown swim bikini at the new department store in town. "Solar" brand, I recall.
Wore it (as a spectator!) at a triathlon event at a lake in California. Definitely got a lot of attention!
A few years later, was visiting a friend in the Bay Area. She invited me to swim at her uncle's place. Had the brown one in my car, no issue.
Almost half a century later, I have a drawer full. No public wear since the 80s, though. Wife not too approving of this "hobby."

It would have been a tube of jockey elance bikinis (all white) from an area department store. I remember being so nervous….this would have been in the fall of 1997 in Indiana.

My first sighting any sort of coloured underwear was whilst in secondary school and sitting in the boys gym changing rooms. We were getting the "onset of puberty talk" from the sports master which entailed being advised that now might be a good time to invest in a jockstrap to protect and support the ever expanding "family jewels". Each boy had a mentor assigned to them as we had started at secondary school and they joined us all for this important occasions. Talk ended, we were all to change and take part in some sort of sport/gym. My mentor stripped off and he was wearing Jockey Skants (now my "handle") in bright red, a wonder to behold and I was for evermore beholden. My standard wear up until then was "hand me downs" of various description but always huge and white, or a "nice" off white. At the first opportunity I was insistent that I had to own something similar and my Mum seemed okay with the idea, a purchase followed quite quickly and I haven't looked back since.
