New Underwear

If you didn’t pick out your own underwear growing up as a teen in high school and as a young adult in college, who did? How did they present it to you? Did they buy and place it in your drawer? Did they present to you when you came home? Did you get as a Christmas gift? What is your story?

My mom seemed to always buy me white FTL or Hanes Briefs and then would bring them home and wash them and then present them to me to “put in my bedroom drawer.” Rarely was I with her when buying undies…..I was with her when she pick out some White FTL’s before I left for college at a Walmart….what is your story? This was in the late nineties.

Generally, most boys were taken clothes shopping by their mothers, and it was mom, who picked what he was to wear. My mom always picked out my clothes until the day she found women's panties that I had been wearing and hiding. That following autumn, when she took me shopping for clothing for school, that she asked me if I wanted to start wearing men's bikini underwear. I knew that it would be my one and only opportunity for years, so I quickly said yes.

For me it was my mom and I would go back to school shopping. Most years I just got plain white briefs from the boys section - when I was old enough and large enough to wear men's underwear I saw bikinis were available but feared asking for them. Finally, on a shopping trip at K-Mart I saw the string bikinis and knew I had to ask for them. She didn't seem to mind, just ask are you sure - I said I was since I had thick thighs they might fit better. it's been a fun trip of underwear shopping since.

My mom started me on briefs, but my stepmom made the change when I was in my teens. She disliked 'tighty whities' and bought colorful and skimpier bikinis and string bikinis for my dad and I. It was less than a few months before my whole drawer was full of Life, Polo, and Jockey Elance, etc.

She would just tell me she bought me some 'cute new undies'. I would try them on and tell her how they fit. All I wore to bed and around the house in the summer was my 'cute' undies.

Though it was a little embarrassing when I got two packs of Joe Boxer thongs in a stocking from my step-grandma. She did not notice the thong back and told me she thought those were the kind my stepmom told her I wear.

I asked my stepmom for more thongs shortly after that.

Well, I wasn't the only one who had their underwear drawer updated lol. Stepmom got to his 'tighty whities' too. His generally had more coverage (mostly Stafford bikinis). So generally, he didn't have to much to say, the were the only kind I ever saw him in, so he must have also thought they were comfortable.

However, I made the mistake of wearing a blue leopard print thong (thanks, grandma) to breakfast one morning.

He joked, "you're gonna burst out of those panties, boy!"

I thought my stepmom was going to die laughing. I turned crimson. I ran to my room to put on some shorts.

My stepmom tried to reassure me later, he was just jealous of how good I looked in them. Sure, Stepmom. To be fair, I was probably bursting out of that pouch, lol.

Other than the breakfast comment, he didn't seem to bothered by my thongs. He saw me in them plenty, they were what I slept in most of the time. Honestly, I was in like 5 sports in high school you could never keep a shirt on me, and pants were almost as difficult at home.

Mom had the sentiment if she (stepmom) wants to buy your underwear let her. I am pretty sure she came around on the bikinis and thongs. She more than once said 'cute undies' even if it may have been semi-sarcastic.

This was high school and early college. She was in her mid-30s my dad his late 40s. I wouldn't say she asked me to model them. Mostly, a 'do those fit ok?', I like/dislke those', 'Those are cute'. It was almost like she was commenting on shoes lol.

I am not saying she may not have taken looks but nothing I would say was overtly sexual.
