What site you ordering from?
I order from Ali Express and normally I can have it return no problem or if its less than $10, sometimes they say just keep it.
But I agree majority of the Chinese stuff are crap, you get what you pay for.

A few years ago, I ordered a thong... paid less than $5 USD for it. The seller sent me the wrong size. I took it to the UPS Store, and they wanted $106.00 to ship it back!

And what one vendor sells as a 4X may be a small or medium here in the States, and then what another vendor sells as an extra large may fit a man with a 46 inch waist here in the States.
They have no standardized size reference!
One thing that has helped me is to look for a chart of equivalent sizes in inches and centimeters to find the appropriate size.

So far most of them suggest I go with XL sizes and they have worked for me so far.
