Family Underwear

I grew up wearing only briefs…….they were White FTL’s, Hanes, Ribbed Whites, or the Cool Comfort ones in the 1990’s….my dad wore only boxers…..I always wanted to wear those but thought they were baggy…..and I have only worn briefs or bikinis since…..did you or your dad wear the same style or brand?

My Dad wore the old-style boxers and occasionally Hanes briefs. I wore FTL as a kid. When I started buying my own underwear, it was colored briefs, then bikinis, then string bikinis, now thongs. I've worn thongs as my normal, everyday underwear for 25+ years.

Both dad and brother wear tighty whities. Of course dad passed years ago but most likely my brother still wears tighty whities. I tried to convert him to wearing bikinis back when we were teenagers but he wasn't interested.

The guys in my house were all basically issued tighty-whities—no debate, no options. Then one day, sometime in my early teens, my dad came home with a pair of blue Jockey Skant bikinis. That was it. Game over.
Those Skants somehow migrated from his underwear drawer to mine (still not sure he ever noticed). Up until then, I’d always lingered a little too long in the department store underwear aisle, admiring the colors, patterns, fabrics, and especially the briefness of the bikini styles. Deep down, I already knew where I was headed.
This was the 1980s, after all. By 16, I’d graduated to Calvin Klein colors, and there was no turning back. Fast-forward to today and I’m 100% a bikini guy.
All of it started with one pair of borrowed Jockey Skants from my dad’s drawer. If he missed them… he never said a word.

Dad was a classic boxer guy all along. I had no brother. Was an FTL whiteys kid. Must've gone to bikinis when I moved away.

My dad mostly wore regular tighty whities when I was growing up. It wasn't until a few years ago that he started wearing colored briefs and bikini briefs

My Dad was always tighty-whities. I switched to bikinis and string bikinis in 9th grade, in the late 80s.

My dad was a boxers guy, then switched to boxer briefs in the late 90s early 2000s
My brother was a briefs guy, but then switched to boxer briefs mid 90s. I inherited some of his briefs and tried to make them into string bikinis.
I was a briefs guy, tried boxers and hated them, other than to lounge maybe sleep in they suck. I did wear boxer briefs for many years - they are now all packed in boxes in the closet. Got my first real string bikini around 13/14 never had complaints from my dad and I don’t think my brother knew. Now 99% thong.
