Laundry-related incidents
I’ve read a number of posts under different topics where a laundry-related incident exposes a man’s secret. This is one of my biggest fears. I’m wondering if this is a common occurrence or at least a concern. I’m very careful when doing laundry. I keep an accurate account of how many thongs go into the washer, and I make sure the same number go into the dryer and get put away. I always worry about leaving one in the dryer or one falling on the floor as I’m carrying them upstairs. I had to leave my house early one Saturday to meet someone for breakfast, so I didn’t get a chance to get my clothes out of the dryer from the night before. I had a number of thongs in that load of laundry, but I wasn’t too concerned, since I was the only one home that weekend. I was out much longer than expected. When I returned home, the woman who cleans my house had already been there for a while. There was a basket of folded clothes on the table. She said she needed the dryer for the sheets and pillow cases, so she took my clothes out of the dryer and folded them. She doesn’t normally do my laundry and I forgot I had asked her to wash the sheets and pillow cases. In the basket on top of the jeans and shirts were about 10 neatly folded thongs. What made this even more embarrassing was that one of the thongs had a zipper in the front and another was a see-through lace material. She offered to put them away for me as well, but I thanked her and told her I would take care of that. She never said anything about the thongs and neither did I. She didn’t seem shocked or embarrassed, or have any reaction at all. At least I no longer need to worry about leaving them out when she comes over.

Re: Laundry-related incidents
My wife and have been thongers for many years. I never put my thongs in the dirty clothes hamper. I have always worried about snoopers. Our daughter came home from college for the summer last spring. Her boyfriend was over all the time. My wife asked me one day if had worn one of her pink strings? No I said not lately. Few days went by and she still hasn’t found it. She figured our daughter’s boyfriend was going through the laundry. Knowing he has coming for supper that night she put her plan in place. She told me to put on one of her bright pink thongs. After supper that night the four of us were on the deck having a drink. My wife asked our daughter where she got her yellow thongs. I was kinda shocked she answered. My wife said there cute I wish I could still wear them. Haven’t worn underwear in years. Man this is weird I thought. I was just scrolling through my phone. I got a text saying we are going in the house. When we leave please get up and show him your whale tail. I laughed and thought brilliant. Soon as they were in the house I stood pulled my thong high. Went to the door and waited a few seconds knowing he was behind me. I opened the door and reached back to scratch my back pulling my shirt up high. Needless to say she didn’t lose anymore thongs

Perfect, not like he’d cop to stealing your wife’s panties. Might have outed you to your daughter for wearing thongs (if she didn’t already know) but that’s probably about it.ThongDude71! wrote: Wed Oct 22, 2025 8:22 am My wife and have been thongers for many years. Sounds like you're housekeeper is very professional and has a mature attitude about things like this. Maybe she was a little amused seeing them, but I wouldn't worry about it. I'm curious, is she from a different cultural background? It's often Americans who are more shocked by things like this.TheThongster wrote: Wed Oct 22, 2025 1:03 am I’ve read a number of posts under different topics where a laundry-related incident exposes a man’s secret. My wife has to take care of her mama every other weekend (Alzheimer); so she has taken our laundry to her house to stay caught up. I asked her not to take mine, since she will fold the laundry in the living room to be near her mama and they will sometimes have company - I told her I preferred that not all their potential company know my underwear choice - since the company is often times family. She got mad and said I can do my own laundry from now on. Maybe I overreacted or just didn't know a better way to ask her not to show my undies off.

Her family is from Guatemala, but I think she was born here. I never thought about cultural differences. I know there are Asian and European countries where mens thongs are more accepted. Maybe it’s the same in her culture.swimmer78 wrote: Wed Oct 22, 2025 9:55 amSounds like you're housekeeper is very professional and has a mature attitude about things like this. Re: Laundry-related incidents
A long time ago, my mom was helping to do laundry after my wife had one of our kids. My underwear (thongs) was in the laundry with the rest of my dirty clothes. At the time, she really didn't make any comments about my thongs. However, several months/years later, the topic of underwear came up and she asked if I still wore those "string things". I said yes. So, she did notice them when she did the laundry, but chose not to say anything at the time.
While I don't advertise that I wear thong underwear, I am sure most of my friends and family have noticed that I do as the waistband must have shown at times over the years.

In my mid 20s I was renting a townhome. I was (and still am) an avid thong swimsuit wearer. The property management company had contacted me stating that in about 10 days the owner of the townhome would in town and wanted to check the property to see if anything needed maintenance, etc. I worked during the day so knew I wouldn’t be around and didn’t think twice about it. Of course I forgot about it by the time the day came. The night prior to their visit, I had done my weekly handwashing of all my swimsuits and hung them up around the bathroom to dry. Didn’t remember to take them down. They definitely got an eyeful during their visit! Lol

Re: Laundry-related incidents
Being in the UK means there are long periods of drying laundry indoors. For us that means hanging clothes on an airer in our conservatory/sun room. But that's also a great room to sit in during the winter, looking out into our garden. My wife had a female friend over for coffee and a chat. They chose to sit in our conservatory. Her friend sees the laundry which has a mix of clothes and mentions to my wife "oh you still wear thongs. I gave those up years ago after having kids." My wife replies with "those aren't mine, they're Casper's."
