Common misconceptions about men's bikini underwear

Post by NoOnesOnion87 »

What are common misconceptions about men's bikini underwear that you have heard from both men and women?

I'll start:

"Men's bikini underwear are nothing but re-packaged women's panties"

No, they are not! Men's bikini underwear is designed to hold and support the male anatomy! Women's panties are not. In all my life, I have NEVER met a woman that wears men's bikini briefs. Men's bikinis have an extended pouch up front for "the family jewels" whereas women's panties do not.

Another common misconception is, that they are uncomfortable to wear, and your genitalia is getting pressed and squished. Pure Silk and Satin have no stretch and may feel restrictive like women's panties, but if you research what you're considering buying, the right fabrics and size, men's bikinis are very comfortable. Even 100% cotton panties don't have much elasticity. Fabric blends are your best bet- Modal, Lycra, Tactel, Spandex, are very stretchy fabrics and make excellent materials for men's bikinis.

I think for a lot of people, when they think of bikini briefs for men, their mind immediately either goes to the skimpy posing trunk style that professional bodybuilders wear or the stereotypical (often animal print) kind that was more popular in the 70s and 80s.

A lot of guys will claim there is “no room” for their junk and they can’t wear bikini briefs.
This is of course, not true. But I do think some of the misconception comes from the tighter pairs of the 80s that didn’t necessarily have a defined pouch.

Or they see ads for gaffe underwear and assume that all men's bikinis must be like this!
