The gym I go to has an outdoor pool, and for some reason, there are a lot of older folks at this gym. A lot of them just lounge around the pool. One time, I was tanning in a thong swimsuit when an older lady stood behind me and blatantly took a photo of me. Her phone was not on silent, so I heard the camera shutter as she took the photo. I turned around and thought about confronting her, but the lady just walked away without saying a word.

That is very rude of the lady. And very kind of you not to slap this crap out of her. But, maybe she wanted to show her husband the type of underwear/swimwear she wants him to wear.

Honestly, this is my pet peeve! I hate when people surreptitiously take photos or videos of me walking the beach in a thong. Be a big boy or big girl and work up the courage to ask me if you’d like to take a photo or video! I will probably say yes because obviously I’m comfortable in my skin. You aren’t even good at trying to keep it secret! LOL It is totally obvious to me.

Am I wrong? Or does wearing a thong in public mean being ok with pictures or videos because you are in a public space? Thoughts?

Legally if you are in a public area, then they can take photos of you,surreptitiously or not. And I've been to Gunnison beach and Fire Island where I had swim briefs on and I have seen a number of times. When women get that look on their face and and they go fumbling around for their mobile device and discreetly take a photo. And I don't really care. Other times, more preferably, women have asked to take a photo with me.
