I saw a story about this man a few weeks ago and almost posted it here. Good on him, he is awesome! And who cares what Jenna Bush and Dwayne Wade think!? I was glad to see a lot of folks on FB speaking in favor of him wearing speedos.

I applaud him! He has a great collection as well. He is absolutely correct on the double standard in the US. It’s time to stop mocking men that wear Speedo/Bikini style swimwear (thongs too).

As for Ms. Bush, I’m not at all surprised with her comments and derogatory remarks. If those things were said about a woman by a man there would be a demand for a public apology and maybe even a sanction. As far as I’m concerned she should be apologizing for demeaning this man on national television at the very least. Mr. Wade I give no credit to. I’m not surprised by his remarks either. NBC should be pulling both and issuing a statement of apology as well.

I’m from Australia and don’t even know who Jenna Bush is, but what a weird thing to do on air.
He’s a wholesome looking guy with three beautiful young girls all enjoying swimming at the beach together as a family.
What’s not to love about that? Is that the worst you’ve got to report?

Jenna Bush is a daughter of former president George W. Bush (who was in office at the time of 9/11.) There is nothing new in the U.S. (or, human nature being what it is, anywhere else) of our president's (or prime minister's) children or other family members behaving poorly due to sky-high levels of self-enchantment. (Some years ago, an admirable president's brother was an open alcoholic who put on a show for the press. No names, but those of us of a certain age know who that is.) Since Ms. Bush is on NBC's "Today" show, Forum members may be able to leave concerns about her comments on their website.
