Swimwear as underwear

Post by David_NC »

I'm curious if anyone wears swimwear as their underwear? For example, skinzwear.com, their "underwear" is only boxer style; but they have some great looking thongs in their swimwear collection. Is it odd to wear swimwear as underwear? what are your thoughts? also, has anyone tried skinzwear.com - are they comfortable or kind of tight?

There are lots of swimwear out there that is unlined and is made of swimwear like material that I know several wear as underwear. I have a swim thong from Prevail Sport that is unlined, which is pretty much like what many pairs of underwear are made out of. Joe Snyder is advertised as both. The ones I have are more the weight of swimwear fabric. I only wear them as underwear. I usually only consider bikinis and thongs with lining as swimwear at least for me.

I have not tried Skinzwear yet, but I've only heard great things about them. I know guys that wear them for both underwear and swimwear. Get more for you money if you wear them for both. I don't know if they offer suits with lining or not. Most I recall looking at said no lining. I'm sure someone can tell you more about them.

Kiniki has quite a few tan-thru tangas that I would love to wear as every day underwear.

In regards to Skinzwear: I ordered the M 73 Rio Microbikini about two years ago. I wear it in the tanning bed to develop the tiny-strings-and-half-covered-butt tan lines, and, yes, plan on wearing it on a welcoming beach as soon as possible! Skinzwear will indeed add lining to order. My Rio is very comfortable, with just the right amount of minimal coverage of, and support for, the "package." Nothing will "spill out!" For those who want to wear it as underwear as well, I think that would work out.

Swim bikinis can be on the tight side and can also have a front lining, which might not be the best combination to wear on a very hot day,but they would certainly keep everything in place. A great example of that would be the Australian rugby players. Rugby is obviously a very physical sport and it is not uncommon for a guy to have his shorts shredded or pulled down completely when being tackled. I've noticed that lots of these guys wear tight budgie smugglers under their shorts, and I'm sure the reason is that they are less likely to get pulled down with the shorts compared to everyday underwear.

This is common enough for people going to beaches or swimming pools, so that changing is not required. It is also more common for older teenage girls and younger women to wear bikini tops as bras for casual wear, say around the house or out shopping but where rigorous activity is not required.
Other than these circumstances, I think it just too uncomfortable to wear swimwear as underwear due to the thicker fabric and lining.

Yes - I am wearing it right now. It is the JOR 0241 Arizona (Blue and Orange) thong. It is mesh so it's vented for the hot summer weather. I find the cotton underwear just gets wet from sweat and they tend to cling too much. I wear cotton in the cooler months. I also have a bright green plaid Gigo swim thong that I wear as underwear too.

In the late sixties and through the 70s it was very common for briefs from major makers such as Jockey to market their bikinis and briefs as swimwear / underwear. Even more so in the catalogs (yes.....this was caveman , pre-internet times) such as undergear and AhMen :D

in my career I traveled a lot especially to Philippines. MexicoA Mexico, Brazil and other spots. I often did not think about packing swimsuits but knew I could always rely on dark colored unlined Jhansi 1” side bamboo bikinis which were my go to undies anyway. They made a nice bulge and lighter colors could be a little transparent which I thought was sexy as did my occasional Philippine girl friends. And they were so light it was a near naked experience. One caution was when diving in so surfacing quickly having them slip down supposing bits could occur but that’s part of the fun too!

I wear my skinzwear as underwear. I like their styles and they are very comfortable . I have a bikini , a rio string bikini , and a string thong . Mutiny swimwear and N2N are some other brands that I have that are classified as swimwear but I wear them as underwear. I m not sure I would get the swimwear with the lining in them , but I guess that could be a personal choice .
