Re: Thong Tan Lines
I haven't tanned for about eight months. Since it is getting warmer, I would like to start tanning. What is a safe way to start a tan? Should I get a base tan at a tanning salon before I go in the sun?
Re: Thong Tan Lines
I don't like tanning beds and prefer to wait until it's warm enough to swim outdoors. I have brown skin yet still burn very easy. My recommendation is moisturize regularly (if you don't have a daily skincare routine) then use sunscreen at least 30 minutes before tanning. Take breaks after 5 minutes and only get 30 minutes or less of exposure depending on intensity. Sun intensity varies so much depending on where you live. I've been to Puerto Rico and can confirm the sun intensity (being close to the equator) definitely requires many breaks from direct sunlight.

I live in Australia, so you have to be a bit careful of the sun. I start tanning when it’s above 20C but obviously prefer above 30C.XM2212 wrote: Thu May 29, 2025 8:31 am I don't like tanning beds and prefer to wait until it's warm enough to swim outdoors. I tend to tan for not longer than 60 minutes, I only use sun cream on my face and ears, the rest I get a natural tan, if I stay longer I get burnt.
I’ve got a really good deep all over tan this summer and I’ve worked hard at it.
I usually sunbathe in thongs or g-strings and move the strings around so I don’t get tanlines. Although this year I do have a tiny bit of a tan line.
I’ve recently started getting checked for skin cancer but touch wood I’m clear.

I first visited Melbourne in 2009. My forehead burned so much it was purple.

Hey, what is your go-to thong when tanning? And how do you keep your tanlines consistent? Do you wear the same design every time you tan?
My tanning thong is the Gregg Homme Caliente.

My preferred thong for tanning is the Joe Snyder Bulge Thong...it's easy to line up the straps to keep the tan lines consistent!kiyoothong wrote: Sun Jun 01, 2025 6:20 am Hey, what is your go-to thong when tanning? I say my favorite swim thing is the N2N Maverick. It is my no means my exclusive thing for fun in the sun. I tend to wear a different swim thong each time I am at the beach.
Re: Thong Tan Lines
Bang swimwear has been my go to thong for the last couple months. Most perfect thong I have ever worn. I love my tan lines. My friends who know I frequent the beach always compliment me how tan/olive I am. The Greek heritage is working.
Re: Thong Tan Lines
I tend to wear the same thong or style of thong for the entire summer to keep a consistent thong tan line. I absolutely love a thong tan line and so does my wife. I love to constantly be reminded of my thong obsession when I look at myself naked.
