Arena Icons Collection

Post by swimmer78 »

Hey guys, if you're looking for some new swim briefs, check out the Arena Icons collection. I was shopping on swimoutlet.com looking for some new swimwear for this summer and came across these. I was looking for something stylish and new to mix up my modest swim brief collection. While browsing their website the Arena Icon suits immediately caught my eye. I ordered the "Blue River/Bright Coral color combo. I got them in the mail yesterday and when I opened the package I was so thrilled that I gasped a little! These swim briefs are visually stunning to say the least. I was immediately struck by the sharp lines of contrasting color that really pop, much more in real life than on a screen. This is a thoughtful and fashionable design that makes a statement with an overall athletic look. Holding the suit I could tell it was sturdy and well made. The brief is constructed of 100% polyester, and while polyester doesn't feel as silky soft as lycra briefs do, it holds up to chlorine much better. The cut is a low rise design made to worn low on the hips more like a bikini than a brief, in my opinion. While it has a full back like most competition briefs, the lower cut is very close to the cheeks and has a nice feel. The suit has a tight competition feel at my recommended size. If you want something more casual I recommend going up a size.

I wore them for the first time today at my ymca pool and they are superb. Even the lifeguard complimented them! Even though these are designed for competition and lap pools, I'll rock them at the beach this summer too. They are too cool looking to not wear them outside!

FYI...Swimoutlet is having a summer kickoff sale right now. I got these 30% off.

Sides are too wide for my tastes, prefer the Dietz Henry and discontinued Traxx lines have a good sized pouch as well, mainly use for working it, I tend to wear jammers when hanging at the beach amongst friends as I don't like the extra attention.

Yes the Icon brief is a bit more of a traditional size swim brief. I believe the side seams are 2.75" so just under the typical 3 inch sides. I don't have any of the Dietz bikinis, but I did buy the St. Tropez low rise bikini from LASC recently. It's the solid teal color and is very comfortable with 1.75" sides. It's a great bikini cut brief and I wore it out to the beach on Memorial weekend.
