Do I have an obsession? Am I addicted?
Hi,
I'm Thonglover8k and I’m an underwear fanatic.
I have four drawers of underwear, oh and another one for swimwear.
My top drawer is just for G-strings and smaller thongs, next one down is for plain coloured bikinis, third drawer is for see through bikinis, lace and net and the bottom drawer is for older things, bikinis, outrageous stuff that I can’t quite throw out.
Today, I sorted through the 3rd and 4th drawer and threw away 99 pairs of thongs and bikinis, undies that I used to love, but for one reason or another, I’ve decided I don’t like anymore. Who has 100 pairs of undies that they won’t miss? What is wrong with me?
I ask that because my 4 undies drawers are still very full and I’ve just checked but I have another 12 on order and 6 more are arriving today!
So what did I throw away? Mostly cotton bikini and bigger thongs, ( I love cocksox, but the older cotton cocksox all went, as well as cotton AussieBum) there are a few mesh / net thongs but with flat fronts that are sort of uncomfortable, they look great, but I won’t wear them. Almost all my remaining 500 odd undies are now “ice silk” material, very soft and slightly see through, I have an increasing amount of see through G-strings and thongs (some of which I wear to the beach), a lot of mesh and lace bikinis and heaps of Cocksox mesh slingshots, I think I have all the colours. Sorting your undies out resets my favourites, i found heaps of Gregg Homme undies, I’d forgotten about, they now are on the top of my 3rd drawer.
The drawer that gets most use is the top drawer with mostly G-strings and a few thongs, almost all of which have a pouch for my bits, I’ve gotten rid of the flatter styles in favour of undies with room for my bits, much more comfortable for me.
It’s a harmless obsession I suppose, I’m not hurting anyone except my bank balance, but I do enjoy wearing nice things and my wife loves them too, most of my G-strings are smaller than hers lol.
Does anyone else have this strange obsession? I hope so as I don’t want to be seen as too weird.

I've got 3 drawers of undies and one of swimwear...you are not alone in your love of undies!
Re: Do I have an obsession? Am I addicted?
I only have one large drawer with 120+ thongs. I haven’t counted bikinis and briefs and such. Boxer briefs are packed up in the closet. I don’t think you (or any of us) have an obsession, we just know what we like and we like a lot of it haha. I have a few briefs I was able to trash a few months ago. And there are a thongs I should get rid of but I just can’t.

I have one large drawer of underwear and one of swimwear. On my way to starting a second drawer for swimwear. The swimwear is my bigger thing but love the underwear also.

I don't have a huge collection (yet) but I'm constantly looking online and checking out reviews for my next purchases
Re: Do I have an obsession? Am I addicted?
I know I am obsessed with thongs. Swim thongs alone I could go two years, every day, without repeat wear of a single one. Underwear maybe four months without repeating a thong. I have a different patterns, designs (from basic to erotic), and manufacturers.

Same here, I have two large drawers of mostly thongs, some bikinis/tangas, and a handful of cheeky boxers for when I go to the doctors. I actually 'discarded' a drawer full recently - but i just moved them to some bins on a shelf.. they were things that didn't really fit well, or I am not into but I don't want to get rid of yet.. I might go through again and pick some fun things out of there to hold on to. I threw away some of the duplicate everyday stuff that Iike and kept the newer ones.
I am always browsing all the different sites looking for the next good deal to add to my collection though heh.

Well, If you're addicted, then we all are
You gotta wear what you like....
I got a drawer full of gstrings and thongs, more than 40 and I can't pass up a good deal. Course, I usually wear the same few over and over
Just a couple of swim briefs, tho (must....get.....more......).

I’ve been reflecting on this for some time
You're thinking it’s wrong to collect underwear just because society says it’s weird. But seriously, why is it wrong? Are you hurting anyone? Neglecting responsibilities? Going broke over it? If not, then... what's the actual problem?
A real problem would be, for example, if you bought an expensive car and, because of that, you had to feed your family nothing but pasta and rice since you can’t afford anything else (and you’re still stubbornly trying to keep that car).
It’s just a social norm. The norm says that collecting underwear is bad, and you’ve ended up believing it. But in your private life, you can do whatever you want.
And norms change all the time. In the 70s, a 30-year-old guy in a graphic tee would've been seen as childish. Now it’s totally normal. In the 30s and 40s, men didn’t step outside without a full suit, tie, and hat (nowadays it's impossible to see that).
You said you’ve got a lot of underwear. Cool. If it’s organized and not taking over your life, who cares? People collect way more random stuff. Video games, sneakers, watches, toys, books, even cars. Most of it sits there collecting dust and costs way more money and space. But that’s seen as fine because it’s “normal.”
The real question is: is it messing up your life? Are you skipping work, blowing your savings, or cancelling plans just to buy or admire underwear? No? Then relax. If you were, that might be a sign to get help. But just liking something different doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with you.
Same goes for men wearing women’s underwear. Why is that a big deal? Clothes are clothes. Wear what you want. People will judge, but unless it’s hurting someone, it’s no one else’s business.
And I’m saying this as someone from Spain. Here we’re light-years ahead of many other countries when it comes to these things.
An example: what’s the problem with a straight man wearing a hoodie or t-shirt with pastel colors and little hearts, as long as it’s a unisex cut? Of course, people will have opinions, and that’s fine, because everyone is free to have one. And no, despite what’s often said nowadays, I firmly believe that as long as there’s respect, everyone should be allowed to speak their mind. I don’t accept this current trend of silencing people just because their opinion might hurt someone’s feelings. To me, that’s censorship and plain neo-fascism.
Sure, there are boundaries (like, yeah, don’t walk around naked in public), but what you do in private is your thing. You’re not forcing anyone to join you. So don’t beat yourself up just because your thing isn’t “normal.”
You just have to love yourself and accept every single part of you (body and mind).

Re: Do I have an obsession? Am I addicted?
I too have an obsession all because a female friend from high school always said the best way to please women is to wear sexy underwear. This is over 35 years ago. I have over 200 pairs varying from basic thong to extreme g string. Most are nylon or polyester blend, some lace, some mesh see through.
