Its been a really really long time since I wore an actual g-string because of past experience with unusually low-quality and poorly designed Undergear styles, but since I'm a huge fan of Skinz, I decided to try these out and my first impression is how much I love these!
I picked up two M55U styles in ThinSkinz Cheetah and Wild Tiger. For years I hesitated against ThinSkinz because I worried that the material would be transparent when it stretched or be uncomfortable- so far, this is not the case. The fabric is surprisingly soft and doesn't become sheer when wearing. Another worry I had is that while I'm as skinny as the models, I'm nowhere near that ripped. I was worried that the fit would not be right and once again, Skinz managed to make a product that looks just as good on a normal guy as it does a model!
Fit and Design- First question I always have is how does the pouch fit? At first look out of the package I thought "am I going to fit in this thing"? Sideball is a deal killer for me, but no issues here when I put them on. As I've come to expect from Skinz, the pouch seems to be whatever size it needs to be, stays flush to my pelvis, and makes that perfect bulge. Another thing I love are the strap design- I like the high-side look that follows the ilium and trace over the back of the glutes until it meets at the top of your butt crack. I've bought many thongs that had this look in the pictures but didn't deliver in the reality; once again, these not only look exactly like the models, they stay that way when you're wearing them.
Construction- The straps are much more durable than a simple bare elastic and meet up in a metal clip in the back that is supposed to eliminate string roll (both problems I've had in the past). Because it's the ThinSkinz material rolled over itself and stitched rather than a simple bare elastic band, the straps are much more comfortable and seem more durable. Because it's a g-string and you can't perform heavy-duty stitching, so I'm wondering how it will hold up over time at the joints and rear clip.
Final Thoughts- I'm always impressed by the materials, construction, and design of their suits.
Skinz has a unique talent for design and understanding of materials and the male form in a way no other brand seems to understand at that level. I don't know if it's because they specialize in the posing suit market for bodybuilders where popping out of your suit would probably be considered bad form, but I have never found a brand that looks better on me.
The other thing I like about Skinz overall is the insanely huge selection of patterns. My suits might not be conservative in style, but I like basic solid colors and simple prints that aren't sexually suggestive. Skinz delivers that in spades.

Oh I like those, they look really good, I just love how they are made from such soft and stretchy material and just the right amount of "see thoroughness".
This is what I love about this little community, guys sharing what they like. I'd never heard of Skinz before.

Great review, thanks for sharing!
I’m not sure how I’d like that metal clip. Are you having any issues with it? Does it look OK when worn?

Looks like the M15 is now a custom order, looks great tho.
This great review of the M55 helped me narrow down which model I wanted.
