I am playing in a co-ed hockey tournament this weekend and I recently learned that even the locker rooms are co-ed too. I am trying to decide if I should go buy some less skimpy/embarrassing underwear for it, or just stick with what I have and hope nobody really notices. Or maybe I should hope someone DOES notice and comments…I’m torn. Your thoughts? Thanks everyone.

Considering what you've shared with us, I can understand your concerns. Why not go with something skimpy but plain in a string bikini for guys, for example? It gives you a chance to project a sense of sensuality without appearing to be coming on to others. Besides, you will have a chance to see what the others are wearing when changing before and after the event, and you may be surprised about what others like to wear!

It's been several years since I worked out in a gym so haven't been in a locker room for awhile. But it would be interesting to go just to see what other guys are wearing, not for anything sexual, just to see underwear preferences and what guys are comfortable wearing in front of other guys.

Maybe a jockstrap. It is revealing and should be accepted in a lockerroom as it is sport underwear. Just a suggestion.

To follow up, I decided to just try to roll with it. I played the first game in a B2body blue satin sport string bikini.

After the game I hesitated and just sat there for a bit and observed. Lots of boxer briefs, a couple tighty whities, and the women weren’t shy. None got naked, but definitely got down to sports bra and panties and would walk across the locker room like that to the bathroom to change their panties, so I just figured I’d play along, so I got undressed but kept my shirt on so I could change my underwear without flashing while standing there. I changed into a 2xist sliq hip bikini greenish color.

I loved your story, I know the locker room could be a scary place for some about your underwear, I usually wear thong and time to time I hesitate to drop my pants but still doing it cause maybe someone is gonna be inspirate, don't know, I loved all the choices you picked, very save and still looking cool.

I am a college freshman in a new city. I recently started wearing thongs for the first time. At the college gym I work out at I was surprised how many guys wear boxerbriefs. At the gym I usually wear compression shorts underneath. I feel comfortable wearing those around other guys but I do sometimes notice guys wearing bikini briefs. I am not gay but I do have an underwear fetish and seeing what guys wear sometimes turns me on.

How many guys would feel comfortable wearing a thong or bikini briefs in the locker room?

First off, props to you for stepping into the thong game - it’s a bold move and a liberating one! As for the locker room, comfort is all about confidence. Most guys stick to the ‘safety zone’ of boxer briefs because it’s what they know, but you’d be surprised how many are secretly curious about stepping up their underwear game. The trick is owning it: if you’re rocking a thong or bikini briefs with confidence, people will respect it - or at least admire your guts. Who knows, you might even inspire someone to try it themselves!
