I am a gay married man and even in gay community, a few years ago, wearing thong was not so masculine and some guys don't find it attracted, now is more accepted thanks to internet, it is more common to see more men (regardless their preference) wearing thong, probably cause that how they get more views, but my point it is that my husband doesn't really care about me wearing thongs, he only mentioned my thong tine line in our first naked interaction but he got used to me wearing thongs all the time.

And definitely, confident is key for enjoy what I want to wear, even in the locker room, I put on my thongs like a regular underwear.

My wife is tolerant. She does not like thongs herself, Said she does not understand how I can ware one, but puts up with my hobby. Complains I have too many pairs and need to stop buying them. All that she loves me and we are happy. I don't make demands on what she wears and she does not demand what I wear.

My wife is highly tolerant, so much so that she is an encourager! I lucked out. She wears a variety of underwear based on how she feels from day to day ranging boy shorts or wool bikinis, to g-strings, or commando depending on the day. I even bought her g-strings first before I bought them for myself. For special occasions or sunning and remote places it's g-strings or micro wear for both of us!

My wife says "it's your underwear, get what you want". She is completely supportive of the thongs, jocks, briefs, etc. and does like the view

Even if we dont want to admit, the wife's role is important.we want her approval, because of the embarrassment we feel sometimes from the social stigma.so, i think, we need to know that ,at least, for our wife our choice is not weird.
Thats why we feel soo happy when she either approves or is acting neutral...the same goes i think even between gay guys.after all who wants a partner who argue about this subgect all day?
My ex wife got me into wearing thong exclusively. She packed for our holiday only thongs.after we returned home i was used to wear them for some days in row and i continue to do it.

I had different reactions from the girlfriends / partners since I m wearing thongs (almost 20 years now).

The first one was totally against thongs, for herself, and also for me, unfortunately. But I was still wearing some when we were not spending time together
The second one was not very interested into men thongs or other sexy undies, even if she was herself an exclusive thongs wearer. But at least she was tolerating that part of me.
The third and current one, was very surprised the first time she had seen me with a thong, and she turned to enjoy it a lot, and she's now very supportive in any kind of sexy undies that I can wear. She's herself wearing all kind of styles depending of her mood, like me in fact, so we are both enjoying this "addiction"

This is exactly right. I was so nervous to tell my wife that I bought a thong because I wanted her support and approval, even if I knew she wasn't going to be into the idea of we wearing it. My wife thinks I'm crazy for buying a thong (and a jock strap) but at least she knows and still supports me.

Didn't become part of my regular underwear choices at that point though whilst still living with parents. Fast forward 10 years and my gf (now wife) and I had our first holiday together in Germany. We were in a department store and walked past the men's underwear section and she said "you'd never wear anything like that" whilst pointing towards a rack of thongs. I leapt at the challenge and picked out a thong with her. Turned out she'd always loved guys in thongs and had got lucky to find one of the few guys who'd figured out he loves wearing them.
