Welcome to the group! My opinion here…. You are much better off not in any relationship that hinges on clothing, underwear, swimwear choices and preferences. You be you and find someone who respects you for being you.

I tried to normalize swim briefs, my wife became so vocal that my daughters actually joined her. So now I only wear them in public with her or by myself. I do wear them at home almost exclusively.

Coming from Australia, I think it's far easier for us (me) to normalise wearing a Speedo, or brief style, swimwear. They are part of our DNA. Speedo (the brand) originated in Australia. They were far more commonplace in the 60', 70's and 80's.
