It's a common Australian mindset that when the public is told not to do something that is absolutely nobody else's business, they will unite and do it ten-fold just to prove a point. Even those who don't normally participate will stand against an attitude like that and support that cause.

My Winter thonging in water is limited to my daily lap swimming in the local Ocean Baths at 4am...chilly, but worth it.

Coming from Australia, I think it's far easier for us (me) to normalise wearing a Speedo, or brief style, swimwear. They are part of our DNA. Speedo (the brand) originated in Australia. They were far more commonplace in the 60', 70's and 80's.

When Wicked Weasel first began, they did a Men's thong. I recall it being a string sided thong with a clip side..???

Certainly all of my family, neighbours, and most of my friends, have all seen me in them while in our pool or at the beach at some stage.

I have worn thongs/g-strings 100% of the time since I was in my late teens (got my first ones at 17, so probably from 19). I'm 55 this year.

Love a white thong for swimwear. I only wear them once my tan is quite dark.

As underwear they are comfortable, practical, you're not sitting on seams, no bunching up. They make so much sense.

For swimwear they are again comfortable, light weight, unrestrictive, quick drying. Sensible.
