Hi there -- I wear them every so often (I have a pair on right now, actually...kind of a powder blue color!)

I think they are the best !
Re: Jockey Elance Bikinis
I got my first pair around ‘90 or ‘91. At that time, I was in Jr High. They were available in boys sizes (hard to believe, looking back now). The boys version came in the same plastic tube with “elancé” written on the side.
My first package had two blue pairs and one light blue.
By the time I got my second package I was able to wear the men’s sizes, and the color/pattern selection was a lot more broad. The pinstripes were my favorite.

Re: Jockey Elance Bikinis
I used to wear them on and off as a teen in the early 2000s - 2010; sometime in that decade they changed their cut to wider sides and started using a thicker stiffer fabric and I moved on to narrower bikinis and tangas and later thongs.Ialso think they changed the country where they were manufactured, the old country was miles better with the older more sheer/stretchy fabric with narrower sides. Jockey quality control seems to be lacking present day and their present styles tend to be blocky and unflattering so I don't see myself going back to them any time soon. It's a shame, how Jockey quality and cut has gone downhill over the years. I remember seeing the original with horizontal white stripe on black background, in a jockey catalogue and they were eye catching and had to ask my mom to order em for me. I loved em, one of the three was a crochet style which was great in the summers. wish I could find crochet style bikini/thongs present day.

I wore them (Elance string bikinis) exclusively for over 20 years until they discontinued the 2XL and now I cannot wear them anymore.
Re: Jockey Elance Bikinis
I have worn the Jockey Elance bikinis, but much prefer the original ones from the late 90s early 2000s - the ones that came in a tube. The material was softer, thinner, the bikini was lower cut and smaller sides. This is also the time I tired the Jockey Elance string bikini. Sadly mine wore out and had to be tossed. I did get the string bikini again around 2015, but the pouch was smaller and not as comfortable. I have not purchased the recent version of the Elance bikini because they appear larger than the older version. I also miss the Jockey Life string bikini sold at Walmart, it had small thin sides - the material was thinner like the first Elance bikinis - but sadly i think they have changed the design of them as well.

I used to wear them more often but moved away from them a little while ago. I still have some of their Elance string bikinis but don't wear them too much either. I prefer underwear that isn't 100% cotton. I really like microfiber or some sort of blend but I'm glad Elance bikinis still out there in brick and mortar stores for guys to try something different. I think it's weird that Jockey doesn't seem to carry them in their own outlet stores though.

I totally agree normalguy-wildundies; I've mentioned this before but a couple of years back I stopped at my local Jockey outlet - they had a small section of briefs. I asked the Asian lady if they had the string bikini or the thong and i thought she was more embarrassed by the question than I was.

Re: Jockey Elance Bikinis
I got my first Elance bikinis in the late 70's. Loved the plastic tube packaging. I kept it as a bit of a fetish item for a long time. My first ones were solid red, solid blue, and one blue and white striped pair. They were cotton. Thin fabric with the thin rolled hems at the waist and leg bands. The little ELANCE tag on the hip was sexy to me, too. I remember a morning DJ complaining about the little tag on the hip of his underwear itching and I was positive we were wearing the same undies. That was fun.
I bought many pairs of them over the years. Solids, stripes, prints in cotton and synthetics. I am down to one pair of light blue cotton and a single silky poly/nylon in dark gray. I love them and can't give them up.
I haven't bought any of the newer versions because I haven't liked the new cut or the new fabrics.
Jim Palmer and others modeling them in the 70's and 80's are burned into my memory.
Love the ELANCE!
