For me the obvious things are the minimal coverage and excellent support, but for some reason I really like the feeling of the fabric nestled between my cheeks.

I love all of those things too, but I think my favorite part is feeling weird and chaotic

I really like knowing that I'm wearing something different than most guys and it's very comfortable with minimal material. And yes, the thong strap is a bonus.

Tons of things!

They match my body type and accentuate it. I have an athletic build and thongs enhance that look where baggy boxers/clothes hide it. I wear tighter and tailored clothes so wearing boxers under fitted pants would bunch up. A thong disappears into the pants and makes it look sharp.

Movement is also a huge reason. Wearing the ubiquitous tighty-whities as a kid I knew they were uncomfortable, but once I found bikinis and thongs, I discovered a whole new world of unrestricted movement in athletics.

Support is far better! The classic white Fruit of the Looms just crushed the boys without mercy; baggy boxers have none; boxer briefs might have it if they have something resembling a pouch but can give you an epic wedgie. Thongs are designed to hold the goods in place in a natural position and the string is designed to be there without discomfort.

Thongs are different from wearing any other style of underwear. If you're wearing non-thong underwear that's really comfortable and well-fitting, you just might forget what you're wearing until you get home and strip down to take a bath and you see your own underwear and suddenly remember, "Oh yeah, I picked that bikini (or whatever) to wear today!"
But it's different with a thong! Even a well-fitting and comfy thong still makes it presence known with every step you take... not saying it hurts (if your thong hurts, you're wearing the wrong size thong), but you can feel it always, and I like that! It's like having your lover's hand on your ass all day, sweetly and gently touching you as if to say, "I love you, you're mine and I'll always be with you!"

I switched to thong underwear almost 3 years ago. It started when one evening I surprised my girlfriend with a few attractive outfits and bought a few male thongs for myself to spice things up in our relationship and have some fun. Needless to say she went wild absolutely loved me wearing a thong and she was so excited and was all over me. I modeled them posed for her did some goofy dances and she even slipped a dollar in my thong lol. She begged me to switch to thongs and mention I look stupid in boxers and that boxers are boring. She asked me if I'd switch and I said I guess I'll give them a try. The next morning getting ready for work all my boxers were gone and she laid out my pants and shirt and one of the thongs I had bought. I was rushing and just out it on and went to work. I cant say thongs are physically uncomfortable but I did feel the awkwardness and imagining what if someone discovers my underwear. I came home and she was hugging me spanking me and checked me which kind of annoyed me a little and she laughed and asked how I felt my first day and I explained its awkward. She said just wear them for a couple weeks and once u get used to them, u will never wear any other type of underwear and she mentioned after 2 weeks if u hate them I'll buy u more boxers. She ordered me many other thongs online which came in the male and I was excited and interested what she picked and wore them daily. 6 weeks went by and she asked me so do u want your boxers back and I had forgotten about them lol I said actually no u were right I said thongs really are comfortable and she said see I told and btw I through out all your boxers anyway while she laughed. Thongs prevent bunching and ride up and wedgies and they give the best support and freedom of movement and they are visually appealing and if it wasnt for my girlfriend I dont think I would have had the courage to switch to thong underwear permanently. And that was almost 3 years ago and I havnt looked back and I dont even think twice but I do have to say not all male thongs are created equal and some even hurt! It's all about size and fit I have to say. I highly recommend joe snyder eros thongs absolutely amazing good for sports, swimming, the gym, and every day wear! The only down side is they are expensive but definately worth it! I havnt looked back and I'm a permanent thong underwear guy and so is my girlfriend. I wish more men would stop being afraid and wear them!!

Thongguy, it's great to hear your gf encouraged you to wear thongs and gstrings. She's a keeper.

There are so many "best things" for me about wearing thongs! First and foremost I love the feeling of freedom--minimal coverage means no bunching of underwear under my pants and shorts. Like the others, I love the feeling of the strap between my cheeks a lot, too! I love the way the pouch cups and holds my package without smashing everything together. There's freedom of movement that you don't have with boxers. And there's that feeling of sexiness, knowing that I'm wearing something most guys probably don't wear often (if ever)! As far as thong swimwear goes, I love the minimal tan lines and I love the feeling of the warmth of the sun on my asscheeks! Again, because it's minimal coverage I love the fact that I don't feel like I'm dragging all the water at the beach or in the pool along with me.

Hmmm, difficult to say what is the best thing about wearing thongs, I have over 150 thongs and G strings, I’ve been wearing them for over 30 years. To me they are simply so comfortable, I love the way they feel, I’ve got all styles and shapes and they all have their times when I prefer each of them.
The best feeling is that I’m wearing something that is so outrageous but I’m outwardly looking quite conservative, it’s a huge thing for me, so much fun. Now I’m pushing the envelope and wearing my thongs and G strings to the beach, which is so much fun.

That is a tough one , there is so much that I like about wearing thongs. The styles are amazing , they fit so well with so many different fabric choices . I wear them for almost any situation from daily wear, working out, and special time with the girlfriend. Maybe a little taboo too.
