Pool Culture

It’s too cold still to go to the beach so I’m talking here about public pools . What is the general culture of a pool which you feel most comfortable in wearing your special swimwear .
Although I don’t thing here in the uk pools I do favour small bikinis and a few of my suits could be considered tangas or near tangas .

Are you more confident when the pool is empty , busy or quiet .. and does it matter to you if there is predominantly one sex in the pool or adult age group .

I found this evening that for the first time in a while I was just on the less than comfortable side when the pool had several groups of guys and was pretty busy . It was the just after work lot I think . I suppose when the swimmers are individuals then they don’t analyse or comment on your swimwear but groups are more likely to dissect what you are wearing . I know it’s all in the mind and that I’m overthinking it , but isn’t that part of the fun ? 😊

I guess I never look at pool culture , if it’s my local sports pool then it’s Ergowear Xd4 brief , any other uk public pool it’s a Joe Snyder Bulge half back tanga, as I have said before , going abroad is completely different , thong if it’s busy and g-string if it’s quiet. Goes without saying Never transparent in a hotel pool. I can honestly say my swimwear has never been questioned by any hotel staff.

Thanks TM , the ergo wear brief looks more conservative than the Snyder tanga bulge . Is there a reason you prefer that for your local sports club ? Also do you tend to stick to the same style and colour at your club or do you mix it up a bit ?

The reason I use the Ergowear ( apart from great fit , tie cord and hard wearing) at the sports pool is I am there to do laps , in and out, no relaxation purely exercise 3 times a week = 3 miles job done !

As for me it would have to be at a place that it's not too crowded and I know it's located in an area where people are more open-minded about different swimwear for men that isn't just long boardshorts.
