Re: How did you discover men’s thongs?
Great story, Ethan! A few questions...did you sleep in the thong, and use it as your underwear for the rest of the visit? How did you feel about their comments on YOUR interest and choice? And how has your thong journey evolved since then? Have you tried other types of microwear as well?

Back in college, my girlfriend now my wife bought me a thong. It was papi in Macys and to my surprise it was good and I was hock with thong since. All I wear is thong since it is cool and sexy. I don’t really care if anyone find out. I went to doctor and massage. The doctor was a bit surprised and said “interesting underwear”- I told him: you should try it doc, once you find the right size and brand, you never go back to the boxer. My wife and all of my previous girlfriends like me in them. It is now just an underwear.

Hey!
Yes sir I wore it that night and the others for rest of visit. I loved it. At that moment I guess it didn’t bother me cause I really wanted to try it. I feel like after the night it wasn’t a big deal. My journey has been a long one and I can go into detail if y’all want to hear but basically they let me keep the thongs after my friend said his brother didn’t want them and I could keep them. It was a struggle hiding them though from my parents, and I got caught several times through the years good and bad responses lol I have tried g strings before but I like bigger waistband.

Ethanw959 - cool story on how you stumbled upon thongs. It was nice of the parents to allow you to try something different - without making you feel awkward other than the silly comments. It was also nice of them and the brother to let you keep them since he didn't want them. I think many of us understand the struggle in hiding them, but glad you were able to continue your journey and discover what you like and is most comfortable to you.

Welcome to the forum, it is terrific when wives or girlfriends (even boyfriends) encourage their partner to try something different. I'm sure we are all glad you were receptive to trying something so bold. I remember the Papi thong from years ago, they had some great patterns and the material was soft - sadly now they only offer a cotton thong.Vincentngo2003 wrote: Fri Jul 05, 2024 10:32 am Back in college, my girlfriend now my wife bought me a thong. LockedThonger, do you recall the brand of thong you bought at JCPenney? Our local JCP sold Jockey, Stafford and Hanes but I do not recall them selling a thong - at least not in our local bible belt southern store. I do remember buying the Jockey Elance bikini and the string bikini from the JCP store - this would have been late 90s. Your post brings up a great memory, I also opened a PO Box to get stuff I ordered without anyone else knowing (except the little old ladies that worked there lol). I would get packages from Undergear and Internal Jock, and a few other stores that sold non-underwear itemsLockedThonger wrote: Fri Jun 28, 2024 9:18 am I know this is about discovering thongs, but I also just discovered this board and am excited to chat with other like-minded people!
My first introduction to thongs was seeing one on a guy in one of my brother's girlie magazines. I was probably in junior high at the time but knew I had to try one! Sometime not long after that, I discovered that our local JC Penney had mens thong underwear, so one day I rode my bike over there and bought a pair. I was hooked. As I got older, I started buying more and more, although I kept them secret from everyone. Once I got out of college, I shared an apartment with my brother for awhile. The internet was just getting started, so the main way to order things was from a catalog. I couldn't have random packages and catalogs show up and cause a bunch of questions, so I opened a PO box just for that purpose. I ordered a bunch of stuff from Koala and Undergear and a few others too. My brother soon got married and moved out, and I had already transitioned to thongs every day by then. Today I own hundreds (between swim and underwear) and am always looking for more!

Yep! The brand was Mariner. It was a black thong with just a tiny string for the thong strap. I still have it in my "archive collection!" LOL. This would have been from sometime in about 1984ish.David_NC wrote: Mon Jul 08, 2024 10:32 amLockedThonger, do you recall the brand of thong you bought at JCPenney? Wow that is great you still have it from the early 80s. Shows the quality of items back in the day. I still have my first Jockey thong from 1999, it doesn’t wear well but I can’t throw it away. Also cool that JCPenney sold items like a thong, today big box stores dont carry such good items

Well, it's the same situation with mine. It doesn't wear well, but I can't throw it out. Thus, it's in the archives with a few other favorites from over the years. It's fun to look through that box every so often.David_NC wrote: Tue Jul 09, 2024 9:33 am Wow that is great you still have it from the early 80s. Shows the quality of items back in the day. I've had a PO Box for years for buying underwear without any questions as to what I'm buying more of.David_NC wrote: Mon Jul 08, 2024 10:32 amLockedThonger, do you recall the brand of thong you bought at JCPenney?
