Do You Guys Post Pics on Social Media?

Post by tony_sucks »

I've been debating if I should start posting pics on IG/Twitter/Tumblr of me posing in my underwear collection. I see a lot of guys doing it and well I think its pretty bold of them. I really want to, but once you post a picture on the internet, its there forever. I freak out thinking family, co-workers or boss will stumble upon any pics of me posing in a thong or bikini. Not only that, but the fact that others would definitely use them to catfish others. I would like to post them because it's a good way to meet others who are into the same thing as me. I also think how when I'm 90 years old (if I even get there) I will regret not doing this type of stuff as a young adult lol. What do you guys think?

Hi Tony. If you already have accounts with the various social media outlets you mention, perhaps you could make them private so that you can control who sees them? I don't post anything on Instagram, but I do know people who do and they either make their profiles private or don't show their faces in their pics. If someone sends you a follow request you can check if they have a picture and if their account seems genuine. You could also use the DM format to share pics that may otherwise get flagged. Our own Nate had problems with Instagram deleting pics which were in no way explicit which he featured in a recent Bottom Drawer post.
I'm sure other forum members will offer advice on Twitter/Tumblr's policies on posting underwear pics/vids. Good luck.

First you can create a social account with an email that isn't your personal and limit personal information on the account. That would help limit someone you know finding it unless they are looking for men's bikinis and thongs. Then like Tanga Tanga said you can set your social media accounts to private settings where you have to approve each follower. Then those followers will only see your posts. That would make it even less likely someone you know will stumble upon it. Some blur their face out, make sure its not in the photo, or block their face in the photo somehow.

Now when posting to Social Media you are at their mercy of what they think is appropriate and seems to be random at least on Instagram. Also seems women can get away with less on than men. Twitter is the most lenient with post restrictions of content. Instagram and Facebook probably are similar, since both are owned by Meta( Facebook). Tumblr increased their posting restrictions recently, which caused a mass move for underwear/swimwear posters. I do feel the sites like full bodies in the photos and some background of some sort in it too than just shots of the garment.

Posting photos of yourself is a personal choice and what you feel comfortable doing. Yes, there is a chance someone will swipe them and pretend they are photos of them. My guess is someone that knows you is very unlikely to come across it unless they are looking for men's underwear and swimwear unless you have personal information linked to your social account like an email, phone number, location, real name, or something along those lines.

You could just look for the ones posting and send them a message to meet like minded people. There are many like minded individuals on this forums too that visit it off and on.

I wear very skimpy bikinis at crowded Beaches. I only post photos of those suits, as they are already acceptable in public. I gave up on Instagram and Reddit, two lousy sites. If you follow someone on Instagram, you will see the same photos every few days. You can get 300 likes and no comments, as if bots were the only viewers.

Reddit will use any link you post as a shopping recommendation, add more click bait under it, and post it on the public internet for the world to see. Then it says you got 200 views but no comments. That site still loses money every year.

Flickr has not had a software upgrade in years, old people pay for PRO just so they can show full nudity. Discussions are shown from 15 years ago, sign of a really dead site. They did not like my thong and bikini photos, so they just deleted my account with no notice! Good riddance.

usg-online is now mostly nudity with a bit of underwear and swimwear mixed in, but if you don't mind that, at least it is a very active site

mensswimsuitboard uses ancient software and gets few posts now.

There are more, but The Bottom Drawer Forums site has the fewest visitors of all I have seen.
